It appears to be that way. the price point of the v1x is probably not an accident. The CFD for v1x is provided at maximum custom size, which is 300x1950 mm. The UCW's size is 250x1650mm, and can't be customized. The v1x wing area is larger by a factor of 1.4x, while the downforce is roughly...
There is almost no published data on voltex except from 3rd party sources, despite their ad copy frequently mentioning CFD. But, for the voltex type 7, it is dead last in terms of downforce per dollar (ignoring the wings with no data at all), finishing behind the adro which is 2nd worst.
A few additional insights/notes:
Verus runs their CFD with a slight yaw in the airfoil (as you will be turning the car)
APR gtc300 @ 12deg and gtc500 @ 14 deg have almost identical drag and lift curves. At 120mph, DF is within 1 lbf and drag is within 2 lbf. The advantage is running a gtc500...
Correct, UCW swan data wasn't released. Edit: but based on some previous studies, at 65mph, expect +2 lbs of downforce at the cost of 0.5 lbs of additional drag. Is the performance delta worth the extra $700? I'm not sure. Does it look cool as hell? Fuck yeah it does.
Grain of salt with...
Any chance you guys could share your placement measurements and some photos of the underside and line-of-sight down into the engine bay? Any opinions on what the best placement is for Hood stiffness or rain drainage?
My information might be old as well, I'm thinking back to the 3000GT/DSM/Evo days. Standard recommendation for HPDE 1-4 (non-TT) was always ATE blue, and carbotech xp8/10/12.
Cheap enough to flush before every event.
TT guys would run motul. Everything I know is wrong now
aeroluxe gt4-style front lip. says polyurethane but honestly feels and flexes like ABS plastic. bunch of pushpins in the install kit but none of the holes line up with the factory pushpin holes. ?
additional pic, the lip subtracts ~2.75 inches of ground clearance. a bit nervous...
just be advised that leaded gas (usually anything over 100 is leaded) will foul cats and wideband o2 sensors in a hurry. You should be able to tell by the color of your exhaust tips. If you're blending enough that they turn visibly white, then that powder is also coating your O2 sensors.

mine was replaced by the dealer with about 10 miles on the car. battery went dead at the port and wouldn't hold a charge during their dealer prep. was a whole ordeal because I had to fly in, and the factory batteries were backordered and the dealer wouldnt let me take the car home without one...
Can confirm evasive has Club racers in stock. Ordered mine and they shipped the same day.
side note, when the heck did carbotechs get so expensive? I remember these being the budget option...
My advice is going to be opposite. your heart is already set on the next car. it's going to take a fair bit of time to de-mod the car and sell the parts, you might as well get a head start on it now, rather than waiting for the last minute and scrambling.
if you Continue to mod this car, all...
