It shifted at way too low of an RPM for me, always felt like the engine was bogging. The xHP tune pushes it up to a more reasonable ~2k RPM, and then you can adjust +/- 50% from there if you want to fine tune it.
Same. I’m nearly 40, the Supra is the first AT vehicle I’ve ever owned, everything else has been MT going back to when I was 15. Even now when I get a rental car, the AT in them are so bad. I had an Impala rental for 2 weeks last summer, that trans was a nightmare, I don’t understand how...
You can also manually shift to 2nd when at a stop. Once you do that once, it effectively “disables” 1st gear for the remainder of the drive until you either shut the car off, or manually shift back to 1st when at a stop.
Yes SPL are a common choice, I have them on my car.
It’s also possible there is no problem and the tech just hooked up the equipment wrong, it wouldn’t be the first time. There was a user here a few months ago that went to get an alignment and the shop couldn’t get anything in spec. They...
Mine was sitting at around 2.3-2.4 degrees or so when lowered with all other stock parts. 3.8 degrees is extreme and far out of spec for stock suspension, if it really has no camber plates or LCAs and is on the stock springs, I'd be looking for a bent control arm.
I alternate car purchases, the next one up is a replacement for my 2012 WRX. It needs to be AWD, turbo, hatch, and manual, I'm thinking maybe a GR Corolla. After that would be the Supra replacement, but that's probably another 10 years down the road. Who knows what cool toys might be out...
Yeah that’s just what the stock exhaust looks like. The stock charge pipe also looks like it’s been all smashed up, I guess it’s just a BMW thing.
I traded in my 2005 STi for the Supra. It had a built motor, rotated GT3076R, E85, etc. It was fun, but it couldn’t pass emissions in CO so I was never able to get updated plates for it (still had my old TX plates), so I rarely drove it. I took this pic the day I traded it in with my Supra in...
According to Cusco, it's 73 ftlb + 90 deg for the strut, and 121 ftlb + 90 deg for the spindle:

I read an article about this bill several months ago and it specifically talked about using GPS and lane-monitoring cameras to do the detection. I assumed that’s what had be signed into law, but it must have been an earlier draft that was later generalized. I am curious how they plan to...
There isn’t a single car on the road right now that can properly identify lane boundaries in all conditions (rain, snow, road construction, etc). How on earth is the car going to autonomously determine if the driver is driving properly when the car doesn’t even know where the lanes are?
I see...
It looks to me like you’re hitting the tie rod into the top of the sway bar, have you tried extending your sway bar endlinks to gain more clearance?
Also as the others have said, you only have a moderate drop, you shouldn’t be running all of the spacers on the LCAs or tie rod ends. Probably...
