Here's one on cars.com for supposedly MSRP. http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/650545807/overview/ Not exactly in Seattle, though.... ;) West coast prices seem to be pretty murderous. Even stripped they're $85k, which is a ton of money for what is still a Cayman.
All kidding aside, a...
Wow! Doesn't seem like they'd make that up... but it seems like a pretty brash assumption. 3 years though is believable at this point.
Don't get a vette! Push harder at more dealers for a Cayman GT4. On Cars.com there are several listed, some apparently without markup, but it's hard to tell...
Good to hear something.
Although I think this car is farther off. Essentially the decision for the project to design, test, build the underlying platform won't officially be made until "the end of the year." That means the actual project won't commence until sometime thereafter (earliest...
2017 would mean it comes out in 2016. Given everything we know, expecting a car to be delivered even by December 31, 2016 is simply not reasonable.
We could find out something big at Tokyo in October, but I doubt it.
Assuming the car is built, which is becoming more and more of an...

Sounds incredibly optimistic. And the pricetag seems very, very high, but perhaps that's because of all the tax in Australia.
Still would be a cool car to see, if it comes to fruition.
Thanks for sharing.
Yeah CLAR is supposed to pervade their lineup all the way down to 3 series, so it shouldn't be too expensive.
I don't know if weight saving is really a priority on the 7 series, so it might not be a great comparison. But yeah if it's not going to be a full carbon/CRFP...
Gran Turismo length I believe is 184". If you shrink FT1 down volumetrically by the 10% that calty said they up-scaled it for the concept, then you get about 177".
A 911 is 177" to 179" depending on spec.
Yeah the 911 likeness has been a common theme since the first interviews of the designers. Although the 911 has grown a bit over the years, it's still an ideal size/weight for a very pure expression of a sportscar.
Yeah I'm not confident in this website. This time though the stuff they said just seemed too detailed/particular to completely dismiss.
A lot of the stuff doesn't really make sense, like the whole "frustration" about how "the development mule is under lock and key." What?
The whole "artist's...
http://www.motoring.com.au/news/2015/sports/toyota/supra/more-details-of-toyota-supra-successor-emerge-52647
So this australian website just reported a bunch of supposed new details which are rather befuddling. Supposedly the Supra will get two powertrains... one being a 3.0L turbo six and...
M2 would be no surprise at all. So the question is what car will be attached to that steering wheel... gotta be something on that new platform!
I'll be in monterey this year so I really hope it doesn't disappoint. :D
That's what i would have thought as well. Apparently the SC is going to be on its own architecture... I suspect the SC is intended to be more of a heavy GT car instead of the lightweight FT1. But the new joint platform is supposed to be modular so maybe Lexus could have more than a couple...
