I will believe it when I see it.
This render looks interesting though. Obviously is it Supra-esque but it would make sense for the car to have a similar shape of the 240z like the Supra and 2000gt.
But where does the line get drawn for major and minor? If Toyota sets the precedent that they will let people tune their car within warranty because it is deemed as major, then any other change can be deemed by owners a major change. This is something that would impact them years to come and...
You said, "A91 doesn't have 40 more HP than the A90. It's the same" which is still wrong. I don't what press released have to do with that, no need to misdirect.
?
Okay? That's as relevant as saying the 2jzge makes more power than the 2jzgte because it has higher compression and the only...
Also, where do they draw the line? If they increase power again, does everyone get another retune? What if they put the S58 in the car, does the warranty cover it after it is swapped?
No I didn't you changed your point so you didn't have to admit you made a misjudgment. You didn't even bring up the compression ratios until other's proved you wrong with Toyota's press release.
You can't say these things. They still aren't comparable since the heads flow differently and...
You're moving the goal posts again. This all started when you said:
I said that was not true and you then told me to provide a dyno chart, which I have now done.
We are both on the same page about boost pressure and compression ratio, I even acknowledged that earlier but you may have missed...
You act like he can't get 3 more years added after that since Toyota covers up to 10 years and 125,000 miles regardless. And you have no idea what Toyota's risk/cost analysis will be in 3 years to make the claim it will be less money.
That is just for powertrain though, there are many other parts of the car that can go wrong outside of the powertrain for year 4,5,6, and 7.
I have only mentioned the $923 one. With the cost of dealership labor rates and prices of parts, if damn near anything breaks outside of warranty it pays...
Lol I am not comparing the two in any way, shape, or form, I’m not really sure how you got that out of my comment. I’m purely telling you why my mindset is the way it is and giving you an example of how it worked out for me.
