Very possible if LHD (the original cars we sent to AU and JP were LHD US market cars). If it was RHD, it may have been a JP market car which are the same as US cars (at least I don't remember them being quieter).
They would probably be fine with a V160 or a modern rendition there of if they didn't piss off Getrag so bad. But that said, you always try to improve versus going backwards.
