  1. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

This is the first car I've tracked. What kind of symptoms do you feel or how does the car start to change when you feel the diff starting to go? Also can you link what you buy for trans and diff fluid?
  2. Rubbing Damage Fixed With Added Benefit

Very nice, I'm on the verge of doing the same thing. I was at a roval track and the OEM suspension is too soft and I was pulling enough G's on the embankment to compress the fender liner into the wheel which also caused the tire to cord from the rubbing. First day was wet so I wasn't at the...
  3. What did you do to your Supra today?

Yeah same one's, so they lasted 7 track days and a handful of autocross which is about right on target for what I was expecting. Probably a good thing I finished them off at this last event so I can have some fresh ones for Road Atlanta. Are you still planning on being there?
  4. What did you do to your Supra today?

I heard some clunking last week and saw I broke a front endlink. I think it happened during my last autocross so I took the opportunity to go ahead and upgrade to SPL. I talked with an awesome TT driver with an almost fully prepped car at my last track day too and he suggested softening up my...
  5. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Stock suspension is fine to start out with. Front sway bar is 100% necessary IMO. Weight transfers on chicanes (or slaloms in autocross) are handled much better now. I very much like the handling characteristics of my car with only those things and an 18x10.7 square set up as a starting point...
  6. Front Bumper PPF (Issues?)

Depensong on cost id say thats not horrible. My kavaca installer has a better front bumper template than that though. It only had one middle seam. The area around sensors is normal and to be expected.
  7. 285/35/18 squared?

I'd recommend doing a stud conversion (75mm) but otherwise yes you need longer lug bolts. If you buy burger motorsports spacers they'll come with longer lug bolts by default.
  8. 285/35/18 squared?

If they're a good deal then buy them regardless. Easy enough to buy the spacers after you get them if they need them, spacers are cheap compared to the wheels. But yes you'll most likely need a spacer. My 18x10.7 +38's need a 15MM spacer so that'd be effective +23 offset. I definitely could not...
  9. Time to change brake pads?

Change them, not worth dealing with the hassle if you hit wear sensor and changing out the pads for the very first time on the front is a major PITA due to the glue. I wouldn't want to be changing them at the track for my very first pad change. I had thought that with the amount of tracking and...
  10. What did you do to your Supra today?

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into that. I do have multiple points that'd have to fail since the wheels are also being strapped down parallel over them and strapped through the wheels with one going towards the back and one towards the front for opposing forces. Also partially why I was...
  11. What did you do to your Supra today?

Almost done with my tire trailer. I test strapped them and everything seems super secure. I think I'll add a rear cross bar for extra insurance but leave the front open for ease of access unless I can figure out an easy way to make a front bar that can be locked and unlocked into place.
  12. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

If it is the sensor yeah it's safe. I didn't get any limp modes on a few rowdy autocross runs before I figured out what it was. If you've got nothing else to spend ~$75 on and hate dash lights then go for it. It's the arm that is more likely to break. Looks like it's only $10...
  13. Help: Chassis Function Limited error after front and rear sway bar install

Assuming you're this guys friend. Read my post: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/race-tracking-your-supra-information-exchange.16389/post-301309
  14. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

He probably knocked loose the ride height sensor. It's on the driver side wheel. Here's a view from the front of the car. Here's how it's supposed to be attached. View from rear side. The clip is plastic so I zip tied mine in place as the clip would no longer hold.
  15. What did you do to your Supra today?

I couldn't help myself and bought the Verus jack pads. Got some great communication and service from them. The red was out of stock after I ordered it and they emailed me around an hour after I ordered letting me know they just dropped off their new batch for annodizing and it'd be 3-4 weeks...
  16. Garage door opener??

I have genie. What I had to do was sync the remote to the car. Then I had to sync the car to the actual opener mechanism using the learn button on it.
  17. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

The fronts will take more of a beating than rears if it's a turn heavy course. I ran oem PSS for a while and they'll start chunking the edges before you use up tread. I'd say you should be fine. Most groups do a single tech inspection for the whole weekend so it'd be up to you to check them and...
  18. Square setup with OEM wheels

Yes you'll need 15mm spacer and you could run 275s
  19. What did you do to your Supra today?

Pay for my flight out there to subsidize a Seattle vacation for me and I'll come do it!
  20. RE-71RS vs Cup2 Connect

It's night and day different than stock tires. I don't street them, I swap at every event. At autocross depending on ambient temp and after 1-2 runs I can WOT in 2nd on launch and hook. I'm typically top 5-10 out of 80-90 entrants. I did run stock PSS on track for 3 weekends just to use them...
