ISTA is all or none so what you are looking for is ESYS. You can program individual modules (ISTA you cannot) and platform to platform. It is what people use to update M cars to CS software, etc.
Again, why do you feel entitled to non-consumer level software? The fact that we even can get it legitimately and legally should be enough to not have to argue with people like you, but as this thread has proven…
MCS 100%
I have MCS 2WNR on my Supra with 650/600 rates and Ohlins R&T on my M240i with 500/530 rates and the MCS ride better for sure. Ohlins are good for the money for sure but the MCS are a whole other level.
Some guys are funny. The idea that a manufacturer level tool should be given out for free is peak entitlement. Claiming something absurd like “erosion of our consumer rights” around a non-consumer level tool is… I just don’t know what to say.
I’ve bled my Supra brakes probably 30x at this...
Then use Protool, BimmerUtility, ESYS, BimmerLink, BimmerCode. All of which you can buy outright and can do most of what ISTA can do (Approx 95% of the same for the first three) for normal repair and maintenance.
Re your statements before:
"Especially when Toyota initially offered it for...
No need to be so dramatic. Nobody doing this as a hobby needs a full year subscription to it. I've used it twice and I have owned my Supra for 5 years now.
I am 99.99999% sure upping the oil pressure will fix it. No need for a dyno session. Just needs a new revision from your tuner. It's 3 tables to change. Should take less than a minute. What tuning platform are you using?
I am shocked your tuner doesn't know about this. (but also not)
