So you want a standalone because you don't want to put the work into understanding the MG1 DME? Also, if you use the MHD+ options, everything you are struggling with above gets MUCH easier.

Zero reason for a standalone with these modern MG1 DME's unless you are at a high level of pro motorsports and are looking for more robust data telematics. I wonder if there is a self-tuning thread on this forum?

yea loosen the bolts on top of that part of the bumper cover and there is adjustment you can do.

My HUD is still crystal clear on aftermarket non HUD windshields so something going on with the actual projection I think.

Well, both of ours made it there and back without issues. I don’t think I have heard of any DME’s getting lost or stolen and they have done thousands at this point. Ya’ll act like these things are valuable to others. It’s a paperweight. I guess this is why there are still companies charging so...
