i guess i should have been more clear...a sports car platform, not a boat with 2 doors  but I digress, wasn't my point, of course it is "feasible" but it would still require additional development & tooling costs which we all know is at a premium in this project..
doesn't make sense why they would secretly test such a minuscule detail in Japan where it is tougher to have long high speed cruises like in Germany & USA. I'm pretty sure most of the development was done in Germany and any publication claiming otherwise is just trying to add fake hype. Sure...
eh, even if it does come with a retractable spoiler who has done what you're suggesting? The F-Type is probably most comparable here and they don't make separate liftback trunks between their models with or without the spoiler.
zero evidence for one so far, no track videos or pics have ever...
obviously it can be done it has nothing to do with feasibility, but it still requires additional development costs and isn't free...never has there been a coupe chassis/platform developed to offer both an inline 6 and V6 configuration from the factory. Remember, this was & is a cost saving...
first generation? don't start getting terms mixed up, the twins are still in the same "generation"...and my first 86 was also part of the first year production...do you really think half of Aussie 86's got CEL issues? Lol...again how many 86s have been sold in Australia and the world? Do you...
hope you understand statistics because your case means nothing otherwise just how many 86/BRZ do you think they have sold worldwide..?..the 86 twins have been a relatively reliable platform...if you want to go on a personal level, I've had 2 86s for a total of 100 K miles with no mechanical...
don't think we can really speak on that..

I admit frameless doors can have their issues but having a framed door sort of kills some of the aesthetic sportiness from the car.
..don't think those sort of things are avoidable with frameless doors at nearly any price...I've seen & read plenty of BMWs & Teslas having issues with their frameless windows.
Perhaps but I'm not sure what you describe would be considered unconventional especially if you look at plenty of other Toyota designs...Toyota has done the black A pillar on the tC, xB and now it is coming back in full force on the new Camry, Corolla & RAV4. Plus, both design cues you're...
yea...some contradictions or confirmations I guess like claiming most of the development being done in Germany vs Japan and claiming that the GR Supra would be in the same class as the Nismo 370Z. I get Australia has a different coupe market but still..
why not? pretty much identical to the GT86's fender garnish except being on the door..
you can swap it out or if you're put off by it guess you could always mold it in :dunno:
it was probably created in the same vein as the 86's fake fender garnish, most likely swappable specifically for widebody kits...remember, the GR Supra Concept made no efforts to make them functional..
..it is part of Toyota's current design language, they are here to stay. Pretty sure every vent, besides the front intake, is fake..so that includes the little vent connected to the headlights & taillights, the door and on the hood/fender area. Remember, even on the GR Supra concept "racecar"...
i like the wheels..but despite the rumors about the Supra having a 4 cylinder dying down, the continued use of small calipers and a hint of using 225s is really confusing..
I hope you understand statistics or do you think you and some posters who have had problems represent a significant portion of the thousands of 86s they've sold? The 86 was the 2nd most reliable vehicle overall in last year's data.
Exactly on the blown motors, there is no way to verify if...
