eh, the GT86 & BRZ are the most reliable models for Toyota & Subaru currently.. It may have a boxer but keep in mind the twins have the least electronic complication out of virtually any car in today's market.
lol but how is Tetsuya saying it is vital that the Supra gets an 6 inline "click bait"?
The way I look at it, just like with the GT86, Toyota does not want to take part in any part of the production process because that would mean they need to directly hire more people and on top of that they...
...because this concern has come up more than a billion times on this forum and you're asking a mod for proof lol. Just go 10 threads down for the interviews with Tetsuya Tada..
If you read those articles then you would see Tada's name in them and he has been quoted many times saying the...
Tetsuya Tada is not a random article.
There, since you are opposed to reading, here you go straight from the man himself.
I too wanted a Toyota powerplant but it is pointless now.
if we factor inflation then in many ways, yes I think a lot of us expected a more competitive price otherwise what was the point of using shared (and existing) powertrains, platform and chassis? to give Toyota a bigger profit margin from the project? It would be a big slap in the face to miss...
while it wouldn't be surprising to see it race at Le Mans, think Toyota has already confirmed they will be racing the Supra long before production starts selling. Historically they have done this for their past sports car legends most recently with the LFA & 86..
I didn't think the shifter changed between TC & DCT?
no more money? it would be upsetting if they spent a good bit of money on things we don't really care about while leaving out the one thing we're dying for..
considering Best Car called the production version & geneva concepts to a tee, there is a very good chance they are right again. Not to mention this render matches many aspects on what we saw in the original post in this thread.
Personally I have a hard time believing the Supra's interior will...
have you not driven a modern TC? Either the 8 speed from AISIN or ZF, they don't exhibit the behaviors you are concerned with, they nearly have the same programming as a modern auto DCT...they don't auto upshift or downshift (unless revvs are < 1 K) and many BMWs with the ZF8 feature proper...
Meh, if Toyota is so concerned with their return on the Supra project why don't they offer the manual trans as an extra option that a consumer would have to pay more for much like how most automatic trans are at a premium on models that offer a stick on their base models..
I would be willing to...
