Right? I applaud Ford for keeping the V8 alive in their sports cars. If I ever make a jump into the RWD V8 American scene (which is likely as my next fun car), it will most certainly be into one of these. Also, they were the only American car company not to take the government bailout money...
My man. Exactly what I needed. I appreciate it - thank you! I just pressed order on the airbox. Is the seal pretty solid where the metal air intake panels meet the inside of the engine compartment? Also where the turbo inlet pipe sticks through into the interior of the box created by the system...
Question for you (or anyone who knows): Does the MST v2 intake pull fresh air from the factory air inlet behind the passenger side headlight? I can't really tell from pictures or install videos of it (kinda looks like it does?) if it integrates it into the system as a whole or if it just kind of...
Thanks for the input. In regards to the passage in your response that I bolded, that has certainly been my experience. It also lines up with everything I've read here. But yeah, like I said, it's basically just an insurance policy for me. There's a part of me that really wants this to be...
@Rocksandblues
Are you saying this is true of all systems like this on this motor full stop (i.e., the Verus AOS), or specific to the location the catch can is installed on this motor?
Again, not to create another thread, and kind of hijacking this one: What's considered the highest quality catless downpipe out there? I know it's just a pipe with some welds, but there's also fitment to consider, quality of steel, etc. I'm not concerned about cost and would rather pay more for...
I'm following along with this thread like it's a damn thriller novel. I have a '21, but hot damn, I remember being excited about my car hitting shore as well. GLTA!
Something else I should probably mention in this thread that may or may not be helpful: I have a Verus Air/Oil Separator (AOS) installed. The last time I had the air intake system out of the car (FTP intake pipe and JB4 installation), I removed and disassembled the AOS. There wasn't enough oil...
Just to mention it again on this thread since the iDrive system is wacky: Most garages built onto homes are slightly sloped for drainage purposes. This could result in a false reading since the system itself is very sensitive. Usually this slope isn't significant, but I've noticed that some...
Can't recommend @Jesse DaBears services enough, as it's been said countless times on this forum. Great end result compared to the maps that come shipped with the device.
Aaaahhhhh that's what you're talking about. Ok, that makes sense. Was aware that was happening. I personally haven't had an exhaust valve since there was about 1500mi on the car so nothing to control.
Love it. Had my money on them getting away from a V8 power plant entirely this generation, using a high-output EcoBoost and hybrid motors instead. Though really, how could they with this car? Hope to own one of these several years down the road once the new generation bugs are worked out!
Yeah, great point. With pads, fluid, and braided steel brake lines, the car can probably stop better than I can drive. Thanks for saving me some $$$. ?
