I didn't call it boring because it hasn't been changed. I called it boring because it's boring. The car makes no power under the curve which makes it feel lazy. Yes it does have decent peak numbers but, with peak torque (of a measly 270 lb-ft) at 5200 and peak power at 7000, The power band is...
No one is saying the Z is old to make themselves feel better, they are saying it because the car is in it's 11th model year with the same boring (yes I can call it boring since I DD a 6MT VQ37) drivetrain.
Nissan is flirting a lot with Mercedes so we may see some cross referencing in that...
Lets hope Toyota is using BMW's ideology of shooting low when rating HP. A 322hp B58 dynos at 320-330 to the wheels! With that being said, could the 382hp B58 dyno around 370-380rwhp? This is while the 467hp RC-F dynos at 390-410hp with less area under the curve.
If the car has more than 382hp...
Relax, you don't have to make empty insults to prove a point, calling me 'kid' has no weight when doing so.
Regardless of the individual, I will 'get into it' with them when trying to pass their opinions on as facts.
There is a difference between 'I' and 'we.' You may think so and that's fine, but saying 'we' is speaking for all of us in factual manner that 'we' all share the same opinion on the topic.
Same, I have to explain to grown adults the power of their words and why choosing them wisely is important.
You need a 32mm oil filter socket. Thats it. While this may sound like an extra step, there are times when Toyota's also need the oil filter removed with a tool.
As far as the under tray goes, we dont know as of yet but I have to do this every time on my G37 so its not strictly a german thing...
Whats more complex about changing the oil on a BMW, adding an intake, or replacing the throttle body than a Toyota?
Altough Id agree that german cars aren't as easy as Toyotas to work on, they aren't complicated by any means when it comes to basic maintenance.
BMWGroup has announced the water cooled exhaust manifold in the Z4 multiple times.

FWIW, Id take the 4cyl and 6cyl Supra over the 4cyl and 6cyl RC any day since Lexus is really far behind compared to its competition when it comes to performance.
The Lexus V8 is great but it is a tough call if Id take it over the B58. On paper, they are 100hp apart but the B58 is underrated...
And short block and turbo.
As noted in the parts diagrams leak thread, it also has a different turbo and "short engine." The engine code being B58B30C, with 'C' being a mystery. Bmw has only used 'C' for the B57D30C which the high output version of the B57
The MKIV is an anamoly. Anyone would be out of their mind to expect the car to appreciate the way it did.
In that same sense, theres no way the MKV would do the same even if it was a Toyota in house product
I guess I am confused on what the surprise is to you. I thought this was common knowledge
The supra is going to have a B58. Almost every car in the BMW lineup has a B58 as an option. Therefore it should be no surprise the the supra have the same motor as almost every car in the BMW lineup
This article says nothing about the Supra, nothing about the top trim B58 or the B58 in general - just says 335hp
There are dozens and dozens of articles that say the Supra and Z4 will have 335hp as well, journalists are lazy and are just googling the hp of the current B58.
Yes BMW does...
