Yea, most phones heat up some when its charging wireless. At least moreso than the cabled charging. The cover over the wireless charger comes out. I took mine out the other day to design a gauge mount for that area.

if you have e85 in your area, you can can spike with a couple gallons per tank of E85 to help octane. but just a couple, not like 4-5 haha.

The Bluetooth connect kit has nothing to do with the OBD2. its for controlling the JB4 with a mobile device. The obd2 connection will activate the steering wheel controls and etc. And add some of the needed logging stuff thats fed via the CANBUS. As for triggering an alarm. This is 100%...
