Catch cans are like the most over hyped not needed thing. I don’t run one and have no issues and no oil in the intake tract. 60+ events. 30psi out the top. YMMV.
I don’t run one because they have caused more issues than solutions in my past experience.
Was following via the livestream. Nice work for your first time there. Lime Rock might seem simple but it takes finding its secrets to really go fast there. Also yes, you need to respect it too as it can bite for sure!
Also yes, it takes stringing everything together. One small mistake can ruin...
We can all have our opinions. Honestly, I have driven both and prefer the 2 port for my use of the car. The higher compression ratio feels much better (to me) on street and on track, especially with a larger turbo and ethanol.
The great part is that both versions are highly capable cars.
Yes, all the track guys already know about this. Some people cut off the end of the ears to gain clearance.
The Verkline LCA's have way more clearance than my SPL arms did.
You can try to not go full lock or get rack limiters if it really bothers you.
At this point we all get that any modification to a street car is basically tapping on your chastity belt and triggering your anglo-saxon christian beliefs of what is right and wrong.
How about for the people that bought a car because it responds well to modifications you just leave alone and...
I haven't had to make any changes to my MHD adapter. I had nothing but issues with BM3 connection. One of the biggest reasons I switched.
So far, MHD connection works every.single.time.
I dunno, I was going 140mph at the time. Only reason I knew it happened is when I went back on throttle after the braking zone and the car made no boost and sounded like a kazooo.
Hahha, def different strokes for different folks. The FE is the only "edition" that has interested me because of the larger front brakes, although there is F-all for track pad choices for those calipers so it ultimately is useless for me.
Depends on your DME tune and power level as well. Higher power has a higher torque request which gives a higher clamp pressure request.
I can almost chirp my tires at WOT shifting into 3rd and 4th. It's pretty nuts. I actually ended up adding more torque reduction between shifts to smooth it out.
My charge pipe was fine for basically 60+ track events, 40 of which was on a larger turbo with up to 30psi out the top of the rev range. Then one day it decided to not be okay with it and it blew itself apart on track.
Added bit in bold to your reply for accuracy, plus...
I dunno where this rumor started. So the whole EU have had mechanically inferior B58's for the last six years?
My 2 port that eats up C8 Z06's, 911 GT3's, etc on track is inferior?
For 99% of owners, 2/6 port makes zero difference. Drag...
