I thought the same thing, at least Celica wise... why not add 50-70hp to the 86, change the interior and exterior up a bit with the same chassis and sell it for ~$35k? I've held that opinion for years now, but what do I know...
that said, I think the funniest thing of all is that many people...
Dunno. Aside from the last info dump that I got lucky with, it's gotten much harder to get the engineers to talk about changes to the car, and Guff echoed that he was having the same issue on the Toyota USA side which means we are now finally getting into the thick of things where product...
I agree with those thoughts as well, the Celica should start around $40k because it's competition will be the 370Z. The Z is old however and the Celica will be FAR faster around the track due to it's crazy low weight, so the bump in premium is justifiable IMO.
GRMN/TRD could then come in from...
At first, I was thinking why the hell would you have two nameplates for the same chassis, with the same motor, just different power levels and mods/tune. Why not have Supra and Supra GRMN in the same way that other manufacturers have special models following similar ideologies.
But then it...
@Spilner
Well, if there is to be a 340hp SPX named Celica and a 400hp GRMN/TRD Supra as the new SF rumor details, that explains why the Spec-A mule has been the main car testing and why it was shown in Copenhagen.
This throws all sorts of wrenches into the release timeline though because now...
Lol, I remember mentioning this as a possibility scenario forever ago on here, so if true that's pretty funny. I meant between the 4cyl and 6cyl car though, so this is pretty odd in comparison and by history.
That said, unlikely GR is making it to the States where we have strong equity in TRD.
Ouchhhhh... I shattered the iP4 I had after I had it just shy of 2 years, specifically like 5 weeks before the iP5 came out. I had to pay the deductible and have it replaced just so I could have a phone to use until I upgraded.
So yeah, I feel ya :(
Damn I hate Gorilla Glass 5.
I get that it's designed for impact resistance (drops) vs scratching which requires a harder material, but man this was the first phone in my life that I have ever scratched. It is also my first Samsung phone since my old school sliders, flip phones, and Blackjack...
well, I think its WAY more probable that the RX9 makes it to production vs the Z or S2K sucessors and man does that say something. Both of those are smoke and mirrors IMO, especially the Z which Nissan has commented on publically stating they have no plans to update. At least the RX9 has the...
Not sure, just know it was the 6cyl which has 340hp.
theres a Spec-A car with the 6cyl which is now the main test mule we've been seeing with the circular tails, but I dont think that car is going to end up being a production model as it was originally the testbed for the 4cyl.
The spec-B car...
I was told the 4cyl was tested with a higher output than 240hp (probably was), but knowing what I know now I would say it's best to just disregard that motor overall as it's just a testing platform not destined for production.
...maybe they're testing the 4cyl as a potential engine for the...
