I’ve had turbines shoot out the exhaust and half way across the parking lot before so this isn’t outside the realm of possibility. Past a wall is little suspect though.
What. That is not correct. What test are you referencing? Are you referencing the Tire Rack test where they didn't know how to drive the A052?
I would trust that as far as I could throw the editor of that story. Either way, the AD09 was still slower than the A052 in that test. The AD09 had the...
The process of filling is the same no matter what pan. You fill, then run up to temp, take fill plug out and let drain extra or add if not spilling out.
Since the torque converter, cooler, and solenoids hold fluid you never will add as much as the service manual capacity lists.
Also, the remote MCS and JRZ ride better because of the remote canisters and more fluid. I personally have non-remote MCS and have no complaints on ride quality for the capability of the car. It's stiffer of course but not harsh.
I'm also an old man approaching 50 so keep that in mind as well...
Very much depends on the spring rates you choose but I can say even with 650lb front/600 rear the car feels great on the street and not harsh.
I will admit I only put about 1000 miles on the OEM suspension and zero track events before upgrading so I can't honestly answer your question about the...
Great review. I would imagine if you moved away from the Motul brake fluid your pedal would no longer get soft. Years ago I was chasing that with Motul fluid and as soon as I switched to a different fluid it all went away. Motul makes good oil but their brake fluid is kinda trash.
What is the percentage of street vs track use? Hard to beat the Ohlins for a street/track hybrid.
The higher end JRZ and MCS will ride better and soak up bumps better. That is the biggest difference I have experience once you go higher end.
I would honestly stay away from KW. Ohlins are much...
I ended up ordering an OEM plastic pan to compare.
Here are some measurements. I was planning on doing extensive inside depth measurements but the OEM pan having the filter integrated into the pan basically makes that impossible. The only way I could truly compare fluid capacities is filling...
Yea, throttle is closing slightly because you go slightly over load/torque targets. Totally normal and you probably can't even feel that throttle pull.
At this level and that tune, XHP shouldn't make any difference as far as limits turned off.
In no world is the RT660 an enduro tire. They are like most of the other Super 200's. Heat turns them to mush. Perhaps you are thinking of the Falken RT615?
This chart might help you out:
Like others I respect the effort and creativity. I do think that spoiler belongs on a 1990 civic. Doesn’t visually fit on the Supra.
I am a sucker for those aero discs. Reminds me of the dtm touring car days.
