Oooooh. I read "When approaching a turn" , I didn't realize you were braking in a turn. Yeah. That can be really sketchy if not done just right. Brake in a straight line. ????
Absolutely. I think for most of us, that's 100% the reason we prefer manual transmissions. I want to see how close I can get to that GT car with the fancy paddle shifter.
Nice! I had an R for a few months, before buying the Supra. Great car, just didn't do *it* for me (we all have our quirks ?). I only did two track days at my local track. Pretty sure with a couple more tries I would have ended up with a personal best.
I sold off everything I posted before, except for the SUV. I used the cash to get this. ?
I REALLY miss the Aston but not the Evo, like I thought I would.
Make sure lane assist isn't on. I've seen it come on during some REALLY inopportune times. You will know if it's coming on when you see a green light flashing that looks kinda like this:
but you would also feel the wheel pulling side to side, assuming you aren't holding on too tight, etc. TC...
I'd say the soft settings aren't doing you an favors. Do you have any of the nannies on that may be trying to "steer" the car for you? I'm told some of these cars may have some wonky alignment settings from the factory. I'd try that if none of the in-car settings work. Always try the free stuff...
Mine is a base but still has all that junk. Someone above mentioned I can fiddle with settings and fix it. I haven't been in the car for a few weeks but will soon.
Yeah. Books and Google but I'm a social animal, what can I say? ? This is far more fun.
Agreed we both said that. But we *do* change gears so there *is always* going to be an advantage for the AT, which you also just said, so I don't know what we're arguing either. We're both saying the same thing. ?
I wouldn't want a Supra in a MT because it would be a lesser track car (which is...
If the MT car changes gears once, the AT is faster. Since we all change gears at least once, the AT is faster. The AT can go through 100 gears vs the MT single change and still be faster.
The MT is always slower around a race track. By just a few 10ths? Maybe. Still faster. Also adds up to a...
The number of extra gear changes don't matter when they're instantaneous and you lose no time.
Anyway, we'll just agree to disagree while I go faster than anyone with a MT. ?
Yeah. It's dangerously intrusive. I went to make a left turn without a turn signal (was on a turn lane already) and it almost put me into another car ?
It's on my base model too. I H A T E it. Haven't found a way to turn it off completely, yet. It always seems to find a way to switch itself back on LOL. I keep trying, though. Most likely user error. I assume "GUI" in the screen/roto knob.
If you are looking to simplify, I bought a standard set of rubber "pucks" from amazon. I then used self-tapping screws to mount them in into a new set of whatever the plastic inserts on the car are called. I snapped them in and now can toss my jack on at any time, without having to carry the...
Just found this thread. I have a Velocity helmet that meets all your requirements. It's okay. We'd all like an even lighter helmet. It's reasonably comfortable. My only complaint is the same I had with a Pyrotect helmet: They seem to push on my forehead a bit much. Maybe my head is too oval LOL...
