More weight means less HP? Lead -based paint?
Where in hell are you guys getting all this?
??
You're a better owner than me. ? I bought my car in January and have yet to wash it. Never waxed. Not an inch of PPF other than the factory stuff on the front.
Still looks really good, IMO. Maybe...
update to my previous post, now that I've dealt with them for a while:
Mine are from Apex, I have a mixed review. On one hand, when they arrived I found one head bad threads and couldn't be used. They sent me another one right away, but the car was down in the meantime.
I feel like they don't...
Zero toe front, zero toe rear, As much camber in front as possible without struts hitting the inside of the fender wells. In regards to sway bars: front/rear = OEM. Struts = Stock.
All until I get to a point where I'm being beaten because I suspension needs an upgrade.
Rotors aren't a concern. If not already asked: how much street driving vs how much track time? Which tires will you be on? How much brake dust are you willing to put up with?
Agreed. I've driven 3+ hours to see a car, come home, taken a train and Uber to pick it up, and drove it home. I've trailered cars home. Whatever I have to do. I have purchased ONE car, locally, within the last 15yrs. I always travel to save money.
Re: GR86, A friend of mine had a Miata. Loved it. He's into slow, fun, "feel" cars. Then he sold it and bought a Cayman. Thought it to be overpriced for the performance so then got an 86 figuring it would be the "sweet spot" between fun and value. He's now in another Cayman. ?
He says nothing...
That it was. The video is from my second lap. I do admit on the first lap, I was taking it much, much easier ? Just until I learned the limit to the tires and brakes.
If I go to a track and can throw down a perfect-for-me lap during my first visit, I am slightly less interested in it.
I actually didn't find it that scary, though my car only had 200bhp.
I admit that may be because I knew the course like the back of my hand, after all the hours on SIMs.
But that's the thing. These aren't the classic AT transmission where you set it and forget it. You can change and control every single gear. Actually, you are going through gears even more so than what the manual transmission.
Assuming the car is manual mode, that is.
Other then that...
It is...
Those look awesome. A while back, I saw pictures of somebody who stripped the basic black paint off the OEM 20/21 wheels. They look just as good. It inspired me to try to get mine done, I've just been too lazy ?
Honestly, anything but black.
Anyway, your wheels look amazing on that car. I'm so...
I appreciate the performance of the M2, but I cannot get past its looks. All these ugly cars coming out, I keep being told I will get used to them. Still hasn't happened. The back end of a c8 Corvette still looks like a utility truck. The new grill on the larger BMWs is ugly. M2 is ugly.
I'm...
There's some truth to that. A friend of mine has a car with ZERO aids - not even power brakes. No radio. Nothing. It's a BLAST to learn to drive.
Not something I would want for myself, on a permanent basis, but fun to borrow every once in a while.
Often, it means somebody didn't quite get the...
