I need to do some Google research on how BMW and Toyota were able to do that.
It amazes me how they were able to get a transmission with a converter to work this well.
If the price points are close enough and it's not going to hurt your wallet much, may as well get new.
If it will, save some $$ and get used.
Either way would work for me, if I were buying.
This is what I don't understand. With paddle shift, control is literally right in your hand. You pick the gear.
This isn't the MK IV Supra AT.
The only difference is your arm moves less and you don't use your foot. You're just shifting faster and with less physical effort.
To me, a manual...
Any updates? Surely there is a reasonable amount of people using roof racks by now.
Ideally, I would like to throw a set of wheels up there. I think that's a bit ambitious.
At least throwing some race day stuff up there would be good. Helmets, gear, and other small stuff to make more room...
Every magazine, internet website, and Toyota resource stated the AT would be faster.
It's weird that I read how so many people want to play race car, but then they call race car parts (paddle shift) boring.
I have never thought of this car as boring. Ripping off perfect shifts is awesome.
It...
haha. I have been chasing new/old cars. Lots of buying/selling. Finally decided to quit f'ing around, so committed to a point series and spent my ENTIRE car fund on a classic car to keep forever. That forced me to stop shuffling cars around and focus and enjoy what I have.
I have to admit, it's...
I was sideways EVERY time LOL. I may have had the course record for my class had I stopped horsing around. ?
If I ever get to a point that I can tune the car but go back to stock for smog *OR* I take the car off the street for good, I'll give it a shot. :headbang:
Stock other than a 200tw tire, Hawk brake pads, Castrol SRF fluid, and Verus camber plates (with what little good they do on stock struts).
Yeah.. the other car should be faster. Maybe razorlab's car should be slower than a Viper. Point is: they weren't :D
A shop that's local to me as everyone in our area thinking that corner weighting is the end-all of automotive tuning. Any time someone asks if my cars are done, I say "it's not worth it for me", I'm instantly ostracized because "I have no idea what I'm talking about". So, now I'm like fuck it...
mine has a wider gap RIGHT in the middle, compared to the sides. I'm sure air gets in there at speed. Super annoying, but I'm not surprised as it's still a Toyota.
