  1. Costco Gas

Last time I checked, $3.00 is greater than $2.00. So your savings, even using your manipulated numbers, is still there. Now let's say I live in NJ where gas is still around $5.70/gallon for premium at most stations and is $5.23/gallon for premium at Costco. So right off the bat I'm paying 47...
  2. Costco Gas

We accidentally left our 4Runner idling in the driveway Friday after work and didn't realize it until Sunday night. So it ran for more than 48 hours and the tank still wasn't empty. Based on the fuel it used, I estimated that it consumed less than a half gallon per hour of idling. So waiting...
  3. Costco Gas

An idling engine uses surprisingly little fuel. So if you choose to wait on line and continue to run the engine, it's not going to cost more than a few cents.
  4. 2022 Supra Debadging Question

Really? My German cars (past and current) have had excellent fit and finish. Panel gaps are always dead on.
  5. What's your favorite glamour shot of your car?

I always wonder when I see someone who went from an MX-5 Miata to a Supra if they also went from manual transmission to automatic transmission. I mean, I think the majority of Miatas are sold with manual transmission and I know that's the "enthusiast" choice (don't flame me, I'm just making an...
  6. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

Yeah, we need the manual to manual comparison. Surely that's coming soon via many different outlets.
  7. Would You Drive An EV Tesla?

Funny that you say that....I've heard that the newest Model 3P have a much softer suspension now. It was a very recent change. Kyle @ Out of Spec Motoring was driving his friend's brand new Model 3P (both guys have been multiple Model 3 owners) and they both said that the newest Model 3P has a...
  8. Running 5x114.3 Wheels on an A90 Supra is Possible

Hub centric for me....no other options on any of my cars.
  9. Here’s CU Later Gray

Nothing beats Nardo Grey....if you're a fan of the "wet cement" look.
  10. Thicwhips badges installed!

I know..... I don't know why so many people hate the OEM wheels. I actually think they look great. The two tone doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I like it because I hate all-black wheels and at least these have the polished spokes to offset the sea of black. Plus, they have a nice concave look...
  11. Thicwhips badges installed!

No deposit yet, but I really have no interest in the special edition, mainly because I don't like the wheel design. I'm probably in the minority, but I really like the current 3.0 wheels and I'm hoping that they continue with them (including the MT cars) for the next couple of model years.
  12. Thicwhips badges installed!

Okay. I thought I read that all MT Supras will have a red badge out back.
  13. Thicwhips badges installed!

Hmm.....this has me thinking..... When I eventually get my manual transmission car, the Supra badge will be red, but the Toyota logo above it will be mainly black. Depending upon the color of the car, that may look like ass. Maybe it's just my OCD kicking in, but somehow I think the current...
  14. Pops and Bangs back on the 2023 MT cars?

That's normal. It's mostly just condensation getting blown out of the exhaust. Water is also a byproduct of combustion.
  15. Official Oil consumption thread: Car excessively burning oil?

How could you possibly know that? Small production changes can happen any time. For example, the piston ring supplier or design can change even in the middle of a model year. That's why we often see TSB and/or recalls that go by VIN rather than model year. Audi had issues with oil consumption...
  16. Pops and Bangs back on the 2023 MT cars?

This sounds a lot like the 2020 cars to me. Did Toyota make it a point to at least give the manual transmission cars a more aggressive exhaust sound?
  17. How is odometer mileage actually measured?

Yeah, but no worries....you can always jack up the back and put it in reverse to take off those miles. But wait....that didn't even work in the movies, did it?
  18. THIS Is the Manual Toyota Supra [Official Release]

That describes me perfectly. I've always liked the Supra, but wouldn't buy one without a manual transmission. Now that we're getting one, it's on the top of the list for my next new car purchase. And honestly, the options are getting fewer and fewer every year. At this point, I'm pretty sure...
  19. Tail Light as DRL possibility?

Okay. Someone was saying that the taillights don't come on as part of the parking lights. That was the reason for my comment/question.
  20. Tail Light as DRL possibility?

Most cars dim the DRLs when the parking lights are turned on.
