I checked the EPA fuel economy website (EPA.gov) to see if they had the fuel economy posted for the 2023 manual transmission Supra. It's not yet listed, but they do have the 2023 automatic transmission car and the fuel economy ratings has increased slightly over the 2022 models.
So what...
On my car (manual transmission), the transmission is plenty strong. It's the clutch that couldn't handle the extra power. But also keep in mind that tuned AWD cars can be hard on a clutch. And actually, it was the dual mass flywheel that failed on my car. And it was a bitch to replace with an...
Realistically, even a simple tune will add stress to the drivetrain. Especially on a turbo car.
I learned that the hard way with my Audi when the clutch coudn't really reliably handle the extra power from just a tune alone.
My guess is that those grey wheels will only appear on the special editional manual transmission cars. It's part of what makes it a special edition.
Personally, I'm much more interested in the regular manual transmission car. My biggest disappointment is the fact that they apparently still...
Exactly. That's why I mentioned that it was to be expected. Personally, I don't have a dog in the fight because I don't currently own any of those vehicles. That said, I think the test results were fair. I'd like to see another similar test where all cars have either manual or automatic...
Lots of bias here, but I guess that's to be expected in a Supra forum. Bottom line to me is that the Mach 1 is a great looking car that offers excellent all-around performance in a true GT package with an unmatched exhaust sound. I'd be just as happy in one of those as I'd be in any of the other...
You're entitled to your opinion, but I still say the Mach 1 is visually different enough to know its special. The picture that I posted is the way that most people buy the Mach 1. The base model doesn't differentiate itself nearly as much, so I'll give you that. But if I were buying a Mach 1...
Not sure if you realize it or not, but the Mach 1 has an entirely different front bumper cover. It's not just the front splitter that's different in the front. The middle picture you posted is a Mach 1, but it's a Mach 1 without the appearance package and I'll admit that those look more...
Can't really agree with that. I think the Mach 1 looks different enough that even the casual observer would know it's sometning special. I mean, I don't think it's quite as special as a GT350 or GT500, but it's not exactly a garden variety 5.0 GT either. There's a lot visually to make it stand...
I just stick with whatever Top Tier brand that I can find. Supposedly, the additive packages are above and beyond the normal regulations for gasoline refinery/distributors.
You can do it yourself and still have service records. Just document the oil change (with date and odometer reading) and make a photocopy of the receipts for the oil and the oil filter. Then you'll have a solid record of not only when the oil change was done, but the oil and filter used as well...
Agreed. I'm surprised that 93 isn't at all Costcos across the country.
And FWIW, I really don't care that much about gas prices. But I do go to Costco a lot because it's Top Tier and 93 octane. But it's not going to impact me if I pay more at the Sunoco down the road from my house. I...
