Well, out of all the possible technologies that could have emerged for automobiles, it seems that electric has won out. It seems unstoppable at this point in time.
I doubt any of us will live long enough to see a point in time where demand for oil decreases to the point that it becomes expensive again. I mean, oil demand is far more than just for automobiles. And consider global demand too....the market is affected by more than just one or two countries.
Well, I guess it doesn't matter beause the world is doomed already anyway.
But wait, maybe it's not.
Anyway, at the desire to avoid a huge debate, let me just say that I really don't know what to believe anymore when it comes to the fate of the planet due to climate change for starters. But...
I guess I'm not really understanding the issue here. I didn't think there's any real war on petrol. I think the idea is to swing towards so called clean energy. Yes, electric cars are probably the biggest focus today, but if you think about it, that should make oil based fuels more abundant and...
It's all about "clean" energy. The idea is to take advantage of solar, wind, and batteries to eventually eliminate the need for "dirty" electricity. It seems that the goal is to get there by 2035 and there are some studies suggest that it's an attainable goal. But I guess time will tell. The...
I never liked that concept. It just can't be good for an engine to turn on cold and then have to immediately ramp up in a high demand situation. Honestly, I'd rather just have a fully electric vehicle. And they are so much simpler too. No dual power train to deal with.
I drove a Tesla Model 3 Performance not too long ago and I can say that it was a lot of fun. It was smooth and quiet for sure, not much in the way of cool noises. But the acceleration was crazy off the line. I could only imagine what a Model S Plaid or even a Model X Plaid feels like ripping...
True, but it's still not going to happen quickly. It's a fairly complex issue involving manufacturing and infrastructure. My only real comment is that it's going to take time for the mass adoption of EVs, even if the government is incentivizing them.
I did a little research on this because I was curious and it seems like the grid will have no issue accomodating the additional load from electric cars. The numbers will continue to rise gradually....this isn't going to happen overnight.
No good driving roads in NJ. There are some that are okay in the northwestern part of the state, but other than that, nothing that I'd consider good. Most of NJ is flat, so if mountain roads are your thing, good luck finding them in NJ.
That said, the Bear Mountain area in NY isn't all that far...
There's not a master key. I used to work at a Toyota dealership and we had a case that had every single lock pattern that Toyota offers. So if we had to remove a wheel lock on a customer's car and he/she didn't leave the key, we'd have to break out the case and try every one of them until we...
I wish all cars would go back to the sensor-less system. My car uses the ABS wheels speed sensor to determine when a tire starts to lose pressure. It works great. The only downside is that it can't tell you actual tire pressures. But the upside is that there are no silly sensors or batteries to...
LOL...nope, didn't read it. I was just looking at your pictures and it looked like the driver's side light was on and the passenger side light just wasn't visible.
For anyone with wider than stock tires, are you experiencing any tramlining? It seems that the popluar front tires size is only marginally wider (255 vs 265 tread width), so I'm thinking that this isn't an issue, but I'm still wondering because I've had this issue on past cars and it would be...
I liked the red interior too, until I realized that they passenger side doesn't match the driver's side. Then I lost interest in the red interior. I guess I just need my symmetry.
