Because you can. Lots of good oil threads on the forum if youāre not chasing cafe āļø standards & gas mileage.
Beautiful car btw! How much did it go for? @Supraman91
How long is the school? I personally wouldnāt pay big money for a racing school. But one day would be great! More you learn about car control the better ofc. Sounds like youāll get plenty chances after that to do more HPDEs.
They need to put that beautiful blue Supra in the title! Youāre also right at the beginning of the video much longer. Whatās funny is I get more attention in the Supra (people whipping out their phones) than I ever did in more expensive cars. With the exception of perhaps Ferrari. I did one of...
Iāll play devils advocate ?. Why pay to burn though parts in a parking lot. If money is no object and you have a choice of doing either at the same time, do more big tracks at HPDE. Look for a skid pad (or dirt track - not your car) event or group lessons. I think those will translate better for...
So much coin for big brake kits Funk (Michale). And I honestly donāt know if they have as many decently priced pads as our OEM calipers do? Had mine rebuilt recently & got ducts for uneven pad wear up front. Different track like Bryan said. No added HP ? & still have to put up with two 145mph...
Yeahā¦. McLaren looks like the team to beat. Wife and I are rooting for Max to bring home another championship & Liam to finally bring enough points for the constructors. Hope they can get Maxās car dialed to his liking. Heās so amazing to watch when heās confident in the car.
Lewis and Charles...
I learned the hard way, did the same thing when I lowered mine. Like Traxion & Phil mentioned, youāve definitely gone beyond the angle/geometry those OEM parts were designed for. Adjustable tie rod ends would help. Lowering changes the angle of the tie rod which will cause binding & increases...
America is so big dude. It depends on where you live. Areas that have basements, on higher elevation, tend to leave them undone for the owner to customize (not built into the price of the home). In my neck of the woods, theyāre painted & everything is CBS (concrete block stucco). You definitely...
Get what you looks good to you and easy to install. Some really nice ones on the site below ?

WTF ? black flagged for what??? Being a better driver, good car control & quicker than everyone else... looked like complete bullshit to me! That canāt be their highest run group. Can it?
Iād find another group & track to drive at. Those corner workers obviously need to go watch & learn what...
Heās probably kidding ? Or at least he usually is. Most of us likely donāt have deep enough wallets to compete on a regular basis. We have FARA Academy down here where you can time trial your street car w/out spending a fortune. And many of the other HPDEs are mega chill. You just have to find...
Great stuff!!!! Been years since I used it. You ever hear of T-9 to prevent rusting on bolts? We used to use that on the jetskis and I swear under the seat cover, that engine looked brand new.
LOL right!
Iāve only seen this with OEM rotors, when helping friends. You figure those OEM rotors...
-4.1 camber - wow!!! Glad you got her resolved. My setup is obviously way more basic. Iām without aero as well. Regardless, dialing down my sway bars a notch and having less understeer helped me too. My Ohlins street & track coilovers are much less aggressive. But can still make more adjustments...
Any rub issues I had was up front and before getting coilovers. We used 10mm spacers all around & probably only needed 5-8 mm. Everything after that was outer wear (rubbing on the fender/hood) until adding enough neg camber. Coilovers added more wiggle room.
Summary, spacers, more aggressive...
Iād be worried about leaving it sit too long in the tank and moisture issues as well. Happened too me with a pair of jetskis. Granted my fault for letting it sit around too long unused thinking Iāll be going out ānext weekendā & not using Sta-bil. Major pain in the arse after the fact!
FF a few...
Not me. Iād take the stock Supra at a free GR track day, after driving various stock ones from guys/gals Iāve met at those NASA GR days. The GR86 is fantastic! But out of all of them, this one is my fav (biased as hell ofc). Just need pads, tires, fluid, like any car thatās tracked. Same with...
*(stuff you probably already know)*
The stock rotors and calipers are certainly capable of doing some heavy duty track days. Just buy the best pads. Hawk DTC 60/30 split would be a great place to start for them. Eventually moving up to Project Mu 999 and/or the most expensive CSG track pads...
Said this on a few other threads (maybe even this one), if you do the Toyota website zip code search by ~250 mile radius, you can find what youāre looking for w/out markup. They may list it in stock and not even know itās in route to their dealer. I did it 2x when the market was insane! Granted...
