  1. TBK's Time Attack Build: MK-BRX

She’s amazing with that buttery smooth but fast ZF8. Enjoy amigo!!
  2. Brake pad recommendations?

I see the OP’s name crossed out but the thread goes on…. Cheers ? to the angry ? ā˜• racer queen ? ? If you want to save the money on a really expensive comparison test… I finally bit the bullet and paid the small house mortgage (almost 1 grand - $900 something) to try the most expensive Supra...
  3. Brake pad recommendations?

https://www.rhdjapan.com/search/category/handling_brake-pads That’s where I got my last set of P mu 999s from. Couldn’t believe how fast and how quickly they got it here. Bonus… cheaper too ?
  4. What did you do to your Supra today?

Damn your car looks Sick!!!! Great photos ? No worries for you at Sebring. It’s a giant track but you’ll have a blast ?. I use to use Xbox or PS5 (Forza or Assetto Corsa). I’m sure those are still good - so I’ve heard. Grand Tursimo will too if you don’t mind playing (or have time) for a game...
  5. brake pads for track use

No where near as loud or squeal as often. They cost a bit more (not nearly as much as CSGs though) and have way more stopping power than P mu clubs or Hawk DTC 60s. Iā€˜d keep the Hawk DTC 30s in the rear. They donā€˜t seem to have the same issue. I recently got P mu 999s for the rear to test out...
  6. Has anyone ridden in a Tesla Plaid?

Agree and Agree. I think when comparing similar priced EVs to one another, it’s more of people’s hate vs reality getting in the way. Space X might be millions of dollars cheaper but Iā€˜d rather hitch a ride from them (in space) than the other companies out there that need them when stranded ...
  7. brake pads for track use

Project mu 999s up front are great pads. If they have those in stock, grab em!!
  8. My First real issue in 15k Miles. Failed Driveshaft Center Bearing

Good to know. Thx brother ? I don’t use Map 2 anywhere else but in town and rarely get on her hard. Guess that Femto unlock is the way to go. When it’s off (track) season, I’ll consider it. I just don’t want her overheating on track w/out an upgraded manifold. Especially with that fantastic...
  9. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Yeah, good recommendation. Glad you took it in somewhere. Kinda a known (old) issues on the forum. Talked about a lot.
  10. What did you do to your Supra today?

You going to track her w/out an intake manifold & that new phat tune? Just curious & asking for a friend (cough cough) how the stock engine would do on track with the MDH stage 2 tune. Or say down in Southern FloRida tracking the summer with it? I’d be willing to upgrade to a thicker oil if that...
  11. How much does timing service cost at the dealer?

Everyone is just messing with ya from other threads/ jokes. Maintenance is great ofc! When you lurk around the forum more you’ll find there are more options than the Toyota dealer (unless you have a good one, which is rare) and more than one fluid you can use for our cars :)
  12. How thin do you go? (Rotors)

Since I change them with the pads, I no longer get rotor lip ? or need to measure anymore. My pads should be going out way before then. If you’re showing lip in the rear rotors already, you need to hit the nanny button at least one click off. You’ll see the car road squiggly symbol come on as...
  13. What did you do to your Supra today?

Seat time takes… TIME, lol. Glad you’re focusing on what’s important. Anyone with a Supra should really get out on track at least once. These cars are soooooooooooo much fun out of the box. No mods needed. Agree with you amigo. No need to lap time yourself right now. I wouldn’t do that until...
  14. BMS Stud conversion

I doubt Bryan used an impact or over torqued em. I just thought with heat he could have removed them easier & was referring to a bolt I’ll never take out. I corrected it above, so it’s less confusing. Thx Calvin ?
  15. What did you do to your Supra today?

Love that camera angle! I was wondering if the Ferrari was injured ? but bushido Bryan answered the question. If you can’t do point by’s, you obviously can’t drive either. Hope to see both of ya out there b4 it gets too hot ? for me. Waiting on a few parts….
  16. Lightweight battery alternative

Bookmarked! Gracias ?? I was looking for one that had the specific drop down for our 2019 VW GTi. Didn’t realize the Touareg had the same exact battery. You should work for PowerTex Brian ?. If you can fix that @PowertexBatteries , that’d be GREAT!!!! EDIT (update): Both my Supra and the MX5...
  17. Front End Clunk

If it’s a bolt you’re never going to remove, totally agree. Do you use red Loctite if never going to remove it or blue?
  18. BMS Stud conversion

*(not the wheel studs but on another part)* - The shop I use didn’t hesitate about using red on that socket bolt (button screw) I mentioned to you. I was thinking damn, that’s pretty harsh ?. Then I reread this post… Realized they could do the same, just use heat and get it off if they had too.
  19. Toyota free track day and NASA membership

What Traxion said ā˜ but…. It’d still be worth it. NASA is a great bunch in my neck of the woods. If not with them, there should be many other great groups in your area. Do it!! You won’t be sorry amigo. :)
  20. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Optionally Bryan has a thread on upgrading that plastic pan for the BMW metal ones. https://www.supramkv.com/threads/transmission-pan-oem-upgrade.18680 I did the M3 one. Fits well and no more plastic replacements.
