Same thing with a good buddy of mine. He buys the most authentic & clean for collector cars that retain their value. And even when not considering extremes (or restoration projects), a clean & well maintained car will always be the main deciding factor for the masses shopping a used car.
There...
Yeah itās not close. Thatās for sure. Iād have to rent a trailer. A friend put his on a train to Virginia. Drove around the mountains & VIR. Thatās the way to go!!
Hopefully youāre still not waiting on that ECU to come back from Finland or sheās acting up after the process. Thatās also on my...
Dammit. And thatās hilarious! There goes my theory of why I liked em better or why they were faster for me. Need to update their marketing material. Iāve been placebo driving all this time, lol.
What did you think of the updated buyer guide? Mostly accurate? So many tires I wanna try out now...
Fixed. Replacing the rotors at the same time. If keeping the front rotors, Iām sure you can just punch the pins out and replace the pads. Good point.
Could be different where you are. In the US, Canada & Europe (probably Asia too), the DRLs are less bright than full headlights and do not activate the tail lights. They are designed to increase the visibility of your car during the daytime & dusk. Making it easier for the other drivers to see...
By changing the rotors as well. I did buy the Toyota/BMW ones 1st. Delay in getting here (still waiting) & overkill while shopping online led me to those. So I bought em ? You never know, I might be faster now ?
Youāre right. Thatās why I thought the caliper bolts would have really spiced...
Probably not. Iām using camber plates, coilovers & 10mm spacers with my SPL adjustable control arms. Tracking puts a lot more stress on those components than daily driving. Thereās a lot of tilt on them. Wish I took a picture when they were showing me. Iāll do that next time sheās up in the air...
My daughter did the same. Wanted a manual. She had been around the track with me, her ma & racing buddies. First car we helped her out. She paid for ½ and we paid ½. She chose a shitty Fiat 500 turbo. Decent speed and she was happy. Until it started falling apart. I hear most Fiats do. Anyway...
Maxxis has a version 2 now. Maybe that makes a difference? The CRS wasnāt bad. Donāt get me wrong. It just didnāt give me as grippy of a feel at the limit or better times.
For the price, those Kuhmos sound great! Will definitely try a set out (or the RE71RS) after I go through my extra set of...
I definitely have to try them then! And being 200tw, they will give me the points needed. Not to bump up to the next racing class. I wasnāt a fan of the Nankangs compared to the RC1. Didnāt last, like you said, slid around more, & slower on Sebringās rough surface.
Second Bryanās remarks. So spot on! SPL sent me replacement bearings for the front adjustable LCAs and sheās up and running again. They shouldnāt have worn out as quickly as they did. I heard they are okay on other cars. But for some reason on our Supra, SPL still needs to get them worked out...
Funny you say that. I heard someone on a car show (I believe The Drive) saying in the future, the majority of people will be using autonomous driving vehicles. Their kids will grow up accustom to them and not even think about the driving experience like we do. All the big car manufacturers are...
Damnnnnnnnnnnnā¦ā¦..
And I thought I was ahead of the game by keeping ONE extra set of track consumables. I feel like Iām barely getting by now, living on the edge with my minimal spare parts⦠?
edit: i do have 2 sets of front brake pads⦠?
Thatās good! Unfortunately for most of us it would cost...
Appreciate it! Look forward to putting in the replacement one in as soon as it arrives. I anticipate it being as good as the one in my MX5. Will let you know how it goes.
Thatās sucks! Call them. They should be able to help figure it out.
I just ordered (yesterday) the one racebuild and Bryan said would work/fit (on another thread):

Fantastic company. Called me to...
Would you say the Kumho V730 are similar to the Maxxis Victra RC1? Heat up quickly and maintain good grip till cord. Unfortunately theyāve got the same larger sizes problem as the Kumhos.
If I run FARA time trials, Iāll need to bump up to a 200tw tire to maintain the class Iām in.
Good point. Price, name and place to start is what got me.
However, now I believe they offer many different options. When I 1st got them, Vorschlag was the only option, w/out adapting them yourself - like Sean (Evolution) did.
Yeah measuring operating (hot) temps are best. Like the others are saying. Just be careful when comparing different car make & models. Even the same exact tire will vary for different vehicles, due to weight (& weight distribution).
Regardless of tire brand, if looking for cold starting temps...
