Its really easy to keep miles low when you have more than one car. I still drive mine several times a week and managed 3500 in the first year.
It is nice because the car does feel a lot more special when its not your daily. Otherwise you just get used to it!
It's not like I'm trying to...
Yup, 2200 is a laughably low amount of MTs out there. Even more rare than most GT P-cars.
not gonna keep me from putting miles on and enjoying it, but definitely was a factor for buying it.
I am pretty sure what you are hearing is just JB4 + catless MT issues (which are mostly resolved ?). I haven't ever had a problem running the stock map on my catless MT.
I can tell you from stock map datalogs that the throttle spends more time mostly closed than open to keep boost under target...
I run Kenji catless (or function werk - whatever they call it). no CEL in thousands of miles. build quality excellent. bought secondhand from a member on here.
Yes it smells (obviously). Like others said, slightly raspy but sounds great with my stock catback.
Sorry, I missed this. Logs look good, even Map 5 is clean. You should take a full log from 2500 to redline though.
Maybe do a quick check on your charge pipe connection though. there is possibly a small boost leak. WGDC is higher than I would expect it to be at this boost level.
Looks pretty good still. Try dropping FF to 40 and try again to see if throttle closures clean up.
Boost by gear will definitely help with your traction issues, you'll just have to keep playing with it. I personally use 2 psi redux in 1st and 1 psi redux in 2nd.
High AFR off throttle is...
that is map 6, but i saw your map 4 on datazap too. car is requesting too high of targets, try dropping ff to 40 and letting it learn up. keep bit 1 off(default)
I drove 992 GT3 at PECATL in 2022 and obviously it was on another level from my Supra, but not 5x the price good. Now at 150k? Sure, that's worth it. Just not 250-300...
It certainly felt very precise and put the power down much better. In all honesty though, that car's limits were beyond what...
Here's a tip for MT cars:
Key is to keep ECU_PSI under DME_BT by 2-3 psi. Sometimes you may see an unexplained dip in DME_BT. This indicates that the FF curve is too high at the given RPM before the DME_BT dip.
In this case, I dropped duty bias at 4500 by 2, and dropped duty bias at 5000 by 1...
wouldn't hurt to try! In theory, with EWG harness disconnected, it should behave exactly like your JB+, but with logging capability and safeties.
just in case we can't get it working to your liking.
cleaning up, yeah. just keep dropping duty bias by a couple in areas where there is closure until its pretty minimal. excluding during spool, normal.
It just looks to be too much boost. Your car wants to run a lot of boost already, so 21 psi is just too much without ethanol. So either swap to...
So after providing Terry at BMS that feedback today, he is planning to incorporate an "MT supra" mode in the next official JB4 firmware version.
ie: flip one of the "options" bits under user-adjustable to change the wastegate control behavior to better suit this car (what I've been testing and...
Its fine, I've had JB4 on my MT for 3k+ miles and never had any slip at all.
Unlike my GTI, where JB4 instantly murdered the clutch ?
I think people got nervous because the CDV purposely causes slip and it can sort of feel like it with some people's style of shifting. AFAIK, people were fine...
