I was stratosphere all the way but now I'm biased. AZ contrasts the gunmetal wheels and black trim so well!! And when the sun hits it just right, pure pearl.
Yeah not sure. I have tried 93 up to E30 and it is present either way (it does pull a little harder on E though).
I don't remember it being an issue for the first month or so of JB+. Might have something to do with being July in the south and being 100 degrees. ?‍♂️ It's possible I just drove...
Nice! I got my unit secondhand off here, which I believe already has a Jesse Map 6 - might need some tinkering to dial in for my specific build.
I really just want to be able to datalog and see what's going on. At least if the JB4 has the same surging - I'll know why. I suspect it is something...
Same, I had it maxed out for a while but now have it dialed the same as you. Its better now but not gone, and any pulls 4k-redline is perfectly smooth and very powerful. Its just the 2.5k-4k feels like shit, especially partial throttle.
I wonder if it is an MT specific issue? Some days it...
2000 miles on a 23 Premium MT:
CONS: Steering wheel (looks worse than my $10k GTI and the volume buttons are stupid, should be scroll wheel), steering feel is lacking, bump steer is annoying, clutch is too springy/light, stock pops and bangs is too much with a DP (car already screams "look at...
The power delivery in the JB+ is too surgey. Ie: it feels like the extra boost is surging on and off in the mid range revs. It's getting on my nerves so I bought a JB4 to datalog the issue.
No limp mode or codes running mine with catless. I will say that I'm upgrading to JB4 this week since I don't like the partial-throttle surging of the JB+.
I have done faster pulls than that at similar temps with no issue. Maybe I would recommend running JB+ at 3 o clock position (or lower on...
It's a badly designed connector IMO. Pushing the white piece down is supposed to act like a lever and lift the clip off a bump that holds it in place. You can't actually push the white piece down enough to fully clear that bump, so that's why the pick tool helps you get that extra bit of...
If you are talking about a JB+, I assure you I can do it in 1 minute. However, I also spent 30 minutes swearing and tearing my fingers up the first time I tried without the angled pick tool.
Something like this:
Trust me, it changes from a rage-inducing experience to a piece of cake. If this...
I will be back there for sure, but modding the car over the years is part of the fun! If you do it all up front you won't appreciate the upgrades as much. TBR threw my downpipe in too while it was in their shop. They mentioned that they recently got a Dyno, so I may be back for that once I get...
The only reason there aren't more Americans in the sport is because it just wasn't popular here 15 years ago when this generation of drivers were working their way through the leagues. I guarantee you the grid will have multiple Americans in the coming decades (if it survives that long).
You're...
Very well said. EVs are definitely the future, but contingent on massive power grid overhauls. If the government had an ounce of sense, they'd be pouring money into Nuclear and a grid that can sustain full EV before enacting bans on gas cars.
Also agree that EV resale will tank around the 10...
There aren't going to be any significant updates to the car for the rest of it's lifespan. My advice is to just get in an order now, as you'll likely be waiting a while and for a 2024 model. They're only selling ~250 a month (USA), and probably only 30-40% of that are manuals.
Also great taste...
Pretty much anyone here is going to tell you a custom Map6 is your best bet. BMS would tell you Map 2 is suitable for 93 octane.

Like many guys here, Supra will be with me until I can get into a Porsche. I'll wait for the bubble to pop though.
If its ever under 90k USD, I would love to get my hands on a 6MT 718 Boxster Spyder. ?
The need for a heat exchanger is pretty much dependent on the power you make. With just a JB4 for a tune, I can't imagine you'll need a new manifold. Oil every 5k and do some datalogging on your JB4 when you get it to make sure you aren't pulling timing in super-hot conditions.
I missed the shifter shake after driving FWD for the last decade. Used to have a Z before that. Really makes the car feel alive and way more connected to the drivetrain imo.
Beautiful MkIV! I think most of us would agree here that the MKV is better value than an R35 for regular street use. Did you prefer to drive one over the other?
I'm pretty convinced that its just the Michelins at this point. Got a proper alignment and balance done at Thunder Bunny racing(Supra GT4 WRL team) and they confirmed balance and alignment was out of spec and adjusted very close to nominal. Some of the 60-65mph vibration is gone, but not all of...
