ECU_PSI is a bit low causing trims to be higher in some spots
also causes car to run more timing, which doesn't mesh well with the added boost
Boost a bit under target - raising FF fixes this
You can see that WGDC is usually higher than FF (excluding shifting)
Timing isn't great, but lets...
Yeah, you probably could get yourself another map 6 that is milder for the track for cooler seasons if you wanted. You can save as many map 6 as you want in the app.
if your car didn't like map 4, you can post that log here
someone needs to give a PSA to not turn TC/stability fully off on public roads... Even traction mode will save you, and is more than enough fun on public roads.
Too many dudes thinking a 400+hp short wheelbase sports car is easy to control. ?
3000+ miles on my MT clutch, most of it JB4 tuned with plenty more torque than stock. Not even a hint of slip once. I did do a 750 mile break-in that probably helped, but yours sounds like a defect to me.
yeah, map 6 boost targets for 93 octane would be very similar to Map 4 boost targets. And Map 6 boost targets for E30 would be similar to Map 5.
Most people should just pick Map 4 and be done, but if they have a downpipe, it requires wastegate tuning (independent of whatever map you use). The...
I was just talking about with JB4. If you are running a "stage 2" map, it should already account for a higher flow dp. Of course custom tuning would get it further dialed in though.
I have seen it in multiple cars I've worked on at JB4tech forums on m340s, AT supras, 330s, you name it. Generally doesnt cause any issues and the driver won't notice. You are right that MTs are 100x worse lol.
Not to mention a catless DP almost certainly requires custom tuning and not an OTS map. Never seen a catless car not overboost/throttle cut like crazy on OTS maps without WGDC tuning.
Yup, that's why sometimes the car will behave strangely if it doesn't use throttle-modulation during transition from spool to steady-state. My rule of thumb is usually ignore throttle cuts unless they are >25% dip
Looks alright. Bump up FF to 45, Enable bit 1, Set boost safety to 23.
Next log, start in 3rd gear at 2000 rpm, WOT to redline, upshift and let off after couple seconds.
Need to get ECU_PSI up so trims improve and timing cleans up.
Eh I've got it working decently now on MT, just might take some effort. It likes additive map 6 and VERY carefully tuned WGDC stuff if u got a downpipe
People are being pessimistic for no reason - i just assume they're mad about another US race. There is nothing to suggest either way that it will be a good or bad race. I personally think any city circuit with a long straight will provide plenty of entertainment.
