Technically -not- true. It's possible to get the clone done in the states. BimTech can clone, they're the only ones as far as I know, but you can't read the ECU without sending it over to Russia.

I'm not an expert, but I've made some friends with those who are-- The Bosch's are nearly impossible to crack, I'd expect the next generation of bosch ECUs to be pretty bulletproof.
A different engine would really fuck with tunability, wouldn't it? Especially if it's Bosch or one of the other big players that are doing the HSM thing.
What springs? You're almost certainly fine, unless you're really low, which you shouldn't be for drag anyway. The change in geometry would explode the axles.

I run a 265/35/19 and 285/35/19s on the factory wheels, I'm not sure about that much meat. They'll fit, but I'm not sure about the fitment/how it's going to look.
Not sure how helpful that is. They are designed to evacuate air around the wheel wells... Canards/Dive Planes don't necessarily serve an aesthetic purpose.
Now, sir, there are options, such as the one @Marshall@ViscontiTuning posted above. You can get all ECUs unlocked now. I'd recommend reaching out to one of the shops offering unlocks to get an idea of what's available for you. It's a matter of price at this point.
