They've been crapping over it long before. But don't worry about them, they don't get out much.
With many MKIV Supra owners often having multiple cars, the values creeping into 6 figures, and many cars at 1000hp+ through triple/quad disk clutches its no surprise. I daily drove and tracked my first MKIV for years before it was retired to occasional sunny day spirited drive duties. A similar story is with the current MKIV, and even more so now that it reached the classic status, with many parts discontinued, irreplaceable VINs, original paintwork, etc. That's what happens with collector cars.

With regards to this new MkV, do you think it can be a collector’s car in the future? Partnering with BMW, parts may be more expensive; but doesn’t seem like they’ll be phased out anytime soon as they share different parts with different BMW models as well.

I was surprised to see the BMW build plate on the door sill (mfd by bayerische motoren werke ag)....I thought there would be a different tag because of Magna Steyr assembly plant. I wonder what the tag will be for the GRMN cars to be built in Japan. Not a deal breaker, but I only want the top tier car.

Who knows. Only time will tell. The first seeds towards possibly obtaining that status will be planted by Toyota tomorrow. Over the next months and years we'll find out what the market really thinks of it. I certainly don't think its an instant classic and it does have big shoes to fill.. again, time will tell.

That brace appears to be made specifically for a right hand drive but they didn't bother to switch it up for other markets for obvious reasons.
Wait...is that a handle?
Always thought that was a driver knee brace/pad. In autoX or drifting I always had to push my knee towards the interior plastics around that location.
harness later on fixed that, but don't think this car comes stock with a 6 point harness lol

Enjoyed reading this post by the Peterson Museum... Yamaha built the 2000GT, and no one complained. BMW built the 2020 Supra, and everyone complained. Everyone needs to keep some context! (Also, notice the over all proportions and rear quarter window? New Supra definitely took some queues from the 2000GT

This just leaked too. Ford went nuts with factory options.

Man....this car is sooooo tempting. You gotta give credit to the domestic car makers nowadays, they sure do pack their cars with some insane equipment.
