Okay everyone I have a 2022 supra with locked DME and I know we hear that they have cracked it but there’s still nothing.
Is it almost safe to say just sell your supra with locked DME or do you really think they can crack it.

Are you referring to my unreal JB4 + Meth Controller + Fuel-It stuff I have for sale? Because Boy oh boy.

OP, do I have the sale of the year for you here.

If you're not looking to go that route, you can either Unlock your ECU through Visconti or get an ECU clone done through PPE or Visconti for a flash tune. It's not bargain basement cheap, but you can tune then.

Or buy the JB4 stuff I have for sale :)

This is also.. just.. The Supra is a fast car out of the box. A good amount (most) MKV Supras won't get tuned at all, and the owners will just enjoy car as it comes out of the box.

If you’re willing to have your ECU shipped to Russia, or use a piggyback, you have options to tune your car now. Plenty of threads that cover those options on the board for the last month or so. I echo one of the other replies here that there are plenty of folk happy with the car as stock, count me as one.

I enjoy my Supra completely stock. I don't think there any reason for it to run mid 9s in the 1/4. You're thinking of those rubber burning morons.

I appreciate someone talking about it and I thank you for answering.
I have a jb4 and catless downpipe but I more or less wondering about using ecutek or MHD or bootmod

I just wonder if there really will be more stock Supra’s out there.. my guess it’ll be less than 20% kept stock by the time production ends

I bet it’s more like 85%. Of the 15k or whatever sold, a small percent are here and the FB groups. A few exterior mods here and there. Wheels on a bunch.

I think the real question is whether it can be cracked at a much lower price point than what is currently available. I think there is a big crowd of people on the sidelines who want a tune but will never rationalize $2,500-3,000 just to unlock or get an OTS tune. They're waiting to see if things open up and if not, they'll probably just move on to some other car.

I think if it turns out that the new Z is easier to tune and has similar or more potential than the B58, then you will see a lot of Supra owners jump ship. The Z is already much cheaper and comes with a manual. That's two strikes already. Toyota needs to respond--and not with marked-up re-skinned limited edition models.

I'm not so sure I'd consider those strikes, at least hard strikes. The manual definitely isn't, it just depends on what your goals are. As a weekend date-night car, sure. Manual wins. Races, manual loses - or you're put in the H-pattern class.

There are many reasons to prefer a car that's a little more expensive, especailly when it comes to the community and vendors. Smaller market = better quality from components = better support from vendors, even if the price is a premium. Who cares really? Only those who are especially budget concious.

And the Z is well.. A Z. It certainly looks better than the 350 and 370, but it's not the most attractive car I've seen. At the Chicago Auto Show the interior was.. sketchy, at best.

I see this too. Pricing is still unofficial however

Plus i wouldn’t guess that it’ll have « better » tuning potential. Open block v6 won’t last the way our cars will pushing real powa

I'd also -highly- doubt that the ECU is any more tunable than other cars that are out right now, but that's pure speculation.
