3D Print Options for the Supra

My good people I need help.

this is my project need:

I need to 3D printing an insert for the instrument cluster that will allow me to place a tablet and replace the OEM instrument cluster.

no need to remove the OEM cluster, I just need the 3D printed insert to be on top of it.

the insert will hold this screen that will display race data.

(I have all my electronics and display figured it out. I just need the insert.

I designed and printed an intake muffler cap for the seemingly popular delete (pic below). This is supposed to make the intake louder, but really only removes about 1 lbs of plastic in the engine bay. I coated mine in clear coat to make sure it was non-permeable and no unfiltered air would make its way in. I also printed it in ASA to deal with the heat of the engine bay. Happy to share the file with anyone who wants it to save $35.

I haven’t, but it wouldn’t be hard to do. I printed similar ones for my FR-S prior. The price would keep me from buying it since I’m not changing the tune.

Im sure the amount of time that went into creating it is worth $65 to someone though. If you buy it/print it let us know. Or if you need someone to print it I can.

Mocking up rear spats with GT3 inspired rear fender aero. Need to finalize fitment and re-print in ASA then carbon skinning.

Cross posting this from the issue thread. I don’t expect anyone will need it but I modified the FPC housing from the older BMW box that had overheating issues. It works with the 40mm fan. I can post the stl file if anyone is interested.

I got the box installed last night and used fuse 273 to power it. The fan stays on anytime the car is “active” but the draw is super low for current. After about 10-15 minutes (or whenever the car actually shuts off the electronics) the fan shuts off.

Total cost to print the box is $.86, the fan is $14 or so, and the fuse taps were $6 for a bundle of 20.

I didn’t add any heat sink to the board so it’s 1-2 minutes to remove if this ends up not being the issue.

I used PETG for filament since it's what I had loaded up at the time. The CF look is just the print plate I use currently so it looks more fancy

Interesting, so wait this module has overheating issues? Also +1 for the noctua fan

Finished up the GT3RS inspired aero with ASA, carbon skinned and then painted satin black to match stock.

Wanted something that sat a littler further forward so I modeled a mount that slides over the stock strut bar. Oversized the inner portion to allow room for some felt to avoid scratches. Uses a 5mm x 40mm hex socket screw and heat pressed insert on the underside. Bonded the slide mount on top. Printed using PA6-CF for the high heat and rigidity.

I had few ask for the file so I've uploaded my updated version where I widened it and added another set of bolts for better clamping power. (4) 5x40mm hex sockets w/ heat inserts needed. Printed in PA6-CF but i assume ASA or ABS would work as well. Just line it with some thin felt or thin rubber like drawer liner to avoid scratching the brace up.

Note this is just the base and I glue on whatever mount is needed. Super glue holds like a mfer with my PA6CF prints.
