As a counterpoint, I have never had those errors when flashing with MHD, ever. That being said, we are just two datapoint. But gather enough datapoints, and you make a trend. What OBD dongle are you using? I'm using MHD universal (red wifi)

Both bm3 and MHD has boost by gear. In MHD, this is titled "Boost Ceiling (relative) (gear x rpm)"

I believe he is referring to the ability to set that himself via the mobile app. With BM3, you can set torque ceiling by gear in the mobile app and don't have to ask your tuner to do it.
Yeah, I was referring to the app. Is there any way I'd access it without one? I imagine I could just take a OTS MHD map and set boost ceilings by myself? Is that safe/smart to do?

i dont think there is a way to edit the OTS map without using a decrypted map.

you can probably use a pedal booster and set it to valet mode or if you could find one with bluetooth app and throttle % slider.

but i think that would make the overboost issue with ots map even worse.

i think this platform is easy to learn to tune with once you know how to disable the limiters and spend some time learning what each table does, as long as you keep the upgrades limits to downpipe.

i just remembered, MHD does have a slider to reduce throttle position
