My AA catless downpipe came in and before i install it i wanna know if it'll make the car run lean/rich or go in limp mode with stock parts. Also my other concern is the CEL, is it worth it to run a catless dp with a jb4 and having to clear the CEL code everyday? or should i save the hassle and just return the aa catless downpipe for a catted one that won’t throw a code? thanks

Will not cause any damage at all, also I have a way that'll make sure you never get a cel ( no tuning required) shoot me a text (561) 236-6280

I know this is the wrong group for this argument. But I have to say this...

If you're building up your daily driver for fun on the road then get a highflow catted downpipe. I know they are more expensive -- but you bought a 55k toy and you can sell the OEM one for a little bit. The catless is good for race cars and drag strips where everyone's fighting for that extra tiny bit of power. Or if you can't justify the cost of a catted downpipe then keep the stock downpipe. JB4 and flex fuel with the stock downpipe is fine. Keep clean with corn and cat and get a nice boost in hp for fun -- it's the way to go.

i’ll most likely return it for a catted one and run that with the jb4 then. does anyone know if the vrsf catted dp throws a code?

Guaranteed is a strong term, i've seen alot of positive reviews and i'd like to buy one, but is this proven and backed up by an actual guarantee if it does?
HUndreds of these downpipes have been sold and tested. No Check Engine

if you get a check engine light, active autowerke will replace the downpipe for free

If thats not a guarantee then i do not know what is

I live in a state that doesn't emissions test, and I've had catless cars in the past and never noticed or cared about the smell. How much of an actual power difference is there between a catted dp with a jb4 vs catless with a jb4? Is it any different if you had a full tune?

Not to thread jack but, any know how much of a difference in sound the AA catted dp would make if you already have a cat-back? I have the Magnaflow Xmod cat-back and can't figure out if it's worth the money purely just sound wise.

0 power difference on stock turbo assuming you are using a downpipe wit high quality, high flow cats.

For future readers Trade your stock DP to @NitroYellowMKV and get a sick custom carbon steering wheel to your liking.
Also I'm on the AA catted DP, jb4 with e40, custom tuning. I've pushed it up to 23 psi for a little bit still no issues with the dp considering its basically just blowing super hot air at that psi on stock turbo. Buy an extra oem Gasket too. 20 bucks.
