You guys are funny, you want more power with no strings attached. Thats not how this works
Company makes claim about product, company charges high price for product, product does not meet claim made by company, people get upset.

I don't think we are off basis, it's pretty simple.

I got this code about a week after the AA DP install a month ago. Took it to a dealership for the DCM update and they cleared the error. CEL just came back today after I got on the gas a little too aggressively, even though I had definitely been pedal happy shortly after cold starts in the month since.

So far there is no evidence that the downpipe caused the issue. However, the additonal heat or flow could cause issues with the sensor... thats not the fault of the manufacturer just a result of the intended function. If it was cheap and easy to make 600hp out of this car with no detriment to longevity of all components then Toyota would have done that... charged $100k and sold 10x as many.
This is laughably wrong for so many reasons. Back to the cave Mr. Troll.

I’ve had CEL code 12B701 as well which seems to come back intermittently about a week or so after clearing and always coincides with revving the engine a bit aggressively or at least above 3k RPM or so before it’s warmed up. I finally got around to replacing the post cat O2 sensor and will report back if the code reappears. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical of O2 sensor failure or premature fouling on a 2023 vehicle with stock tune and no other powertrain mods, but we’ll see. The only thing that stands out is that this never happened until after my first track day at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit. So, perhaps the sensor was marginal and that event pushed it over the edge to intermittent failure? Either way, I guess I’ll see if the O2 sensor replacement is a permanent fix.

I replaced the downstream O2 sensor and the CEL returned with the same code unfortunately. Not sure what my next step will be here.

Either contact AA and exchange or maybe just add an extender?

Have you tried repeating the break in procedure? Some people had success repeating it and the CEL staying off.

Mine came back once about three weeks after I replaced the downstream sensor. I cleared it with the JB4, and it hasn't returned for a few weeks now.

Yes, I’d suggest contacting AA.

Update. After over a month of daily driving and a two day track event at COTA, the CEL has still not returned. Bizarre to have to replace an O2 sensor on a 2023 vehicle, but it does appear that AA’s advised fix was the correct solution for me. I’ll update if that changes.

Did an autocross event on Saturday, CEL lit up that evening a couple hours after. No code reported in BimmerLink. CEL went away the following afternoon.

Maybe this one is different but… is it possible to burn up the cat? That’s what happened to all my prior cars and other people who track regularly. The light will start to come on. The more track days you do, you eventually burn it out. I’ve only tracked regularly in Florida and used to track all year round. So that didn’t help either ?
