Adding low tone horn through wheel well

I was researching parts for doing this mod and wanted to do the cables in a proper way.
I discovered that Bmw does offer a Y cable.

From the pictures I saw the plugs should fit.
I might give it a try and report if it works.
This would be a very clean solution.

Original Horn sucks.
Do you confirm that original ciruit can support 2 Horns tohgheter?
i mean: 2 Horns togheter should absorb 4,5+4,5 A (total 9A), so
horn circuit should give at least 10A.

Did the cable end up working?

Old but I figured I'd chime in for future visitors of this thread as I just did this little project. The Y connector with that part number was not compatible as the head was a different piece entirely.

I went to do this on my 26 FE. The bracket that holds the heat exchanger with the two T45 bolts is different. It spans across the entire top of the radiator and the radiator hose is attached to this bracket as well. I couldn't get the bracket out of the way, maybe if I disconnected the piece that holds the hose onto it then I could but that was difficult to get at. I decided I didn't want to stress the hoses and potentially break something so I'm just going to get at the horn by removing the front bumper.

It is different. I was able to move it around enough to get at the horn by supporting it with the brake. It helps that the FE is still new so the hoses are pretty pliable. I did disconnect the piece that held the hose.

Ah okay, so I could've just gone for it then, huh. Lift is taken by another car so Ill give it another go when its open again. Thanks for the tip!

Added the low tone horn through the wheel well. It was not that bad to do. Getting the cooler moved out and behind the brake disk was a little tricky but not that bad. I also used a rachety wrench for the nut on the back side of the high tone horn.

I made my own bracket out of 3/4 x about 5 inches aluminum bar that was 1/8 inch thick. A bit thinner bracket would be ideal but that is what I was able to get. I drilled 5/16 inch holes and bent the bracket at about 80 degree.

I also purchased a Y wiring harness from temu or Alibaba. It was I bit long so I had to zip tie it up but the connectors fit and it was good quality. I paid about $15 to my door for it so I feel it was worth it for a plug and play solution. The one I got was labeled for Audi but the connectors looked correct from the pictures. I didn't see any for BMW.
