How does the AWE differ from the more popular Armaspeed and MST with regards to fitment, sound characteristics and volume?

You poor thing, lol. It's best to just read the forum and get used to all it's quirks before you make another thread. This isn't anything on you - it's just the response you'll get here. We want you to do research and be able to form a competent opinion on your own first so you can engage in meaningful discussion. It's one of those "we want what's best for you" things, just in a roundabout way...

The oil you run will also have little to do with the downpipe you'll end up picking. Asking what oil you run is a bit like asking what body wash you use. It's pretty much all opinions on what's best unless you have a skin study done (akin to sending your oil off to Blackstone for analysis and having an informed opinion on what's actually in your oil). It won't help us at all make a decision on what downpipe you should get.

Same with air intakes... Best is subjective. As long as it's an enclosed box and pulls cooler air from the outside, that's really the best aftermarket intake you can ask for. As others have said, the stock box works really well, so it's pretty much all noise.

There are things you can do, like cover the turbo in a heat shield and put in some reflective heat tape, or a turbo blanket, or something else to keep the heat out on aftermarket intakes, but... As long as it's using a quality filter and draws cold air from the outside, and not the hot engine bay, that's the best answer we can give, otherwise you'll need to look into specific logs and data, and that's more effort than anyone here will give, for the most part.
