Be careful not to accidentally close the trunk on the emergency release handle or mess with that cable in any way (my trunk wouldn't open and it took a month for dealer to resolve). I'm not messing with the trunk any more than I have to now!

What has the world come to when people think it is a hassle to have to use your hands to open a trunk?
I thought this was a sportscar for reasonable young and fit persons, not a car for senior citizens with handicaps

The issue isn't that you have to open it, it's that for some reason the designers didn't put a single spot for you to actually lift it by. It's mind-numbing that on a $55k car I have to try to wedge my finger tips under the lip in order to open the trunk. All they needed was a nice flat lifting point like every other car has and it wouldn't be an issue.What has the world come to when people think it is a hassle to have to use your hands to open a trunk?

~ And not to mention… when you pop the hatch with the drivers door open… then close the door… the hatch is sucked closed again. Truly an annoy design flaw. I’m hopeful the new hatch supports lifts the hatch automatically once the button is pushed. ?

~ Well yeah… we all know that would have only made sense. Damn engineers.
Like others mentioned… there’s not even an allocated place to squeeze your fingers between the panels to lift the hatch.

Yea what the fuck is up with the lip to open the trunk, my brz had amazing handles for lifting the trunk and a button, but no way to close it, now I've got the opposite problem with a car that costs double!
Really though we should have had one of those foot waving sensor things since we have all this fancy technology elsewhere...
For the "close a door and the trunk latches" people, start rotating your bump stops for the trunk counter clockwise 1/4 turn each time it happens until it stops happening
