I've asked this before and probably sound like a broken record and never got a straight answer. but what is the difference between this and other similar boost controllers from blitz and hks? Why is no one else running those? Don't they all raise boose by about 3-4 psi?

Will this module work on a 2023 Z4?
Yup it listed the Z4 on the website. Go to Burger site and check it out. They are listed separately so I wouldn't suggest plugging the Supra unit into the Z4

I'm sure it's just a product of visibility of the Burger products on the site. I would doubt there is much difference at all.

I purchased this unit and installed it this past weekend. Driving it for a bit until the DME can generate a long term trim map. I'm not sure how much short term fuel trim the ECU can add so wanted to give it a bit of time to adjust to the new Load parameters. I would expect the benefits will be noted more in the low gears as boost is likely limited by gear in the OEM mapping for the first few gears anyway. The JB+ bypasses this by basically adding 4psi to every load map. If the boost is not limited by RPM we should notice a bump in torque in the mid gears at low RPM. High Rpm in the taller gears is where I would expect we won't notice as much without more significant modifications.

Is it worth it though? Did you like it?

I'm using max level with Petro 94. No issues. Pulls really nice. Last year I ran it at the track on default settings. I'll be installing the AA catted DP later this month too. As I mentally and financially prepare myself to send the ECU out to Femto towards the end of the summer, lol

EDIT: Running it on my 2021 6 port. Not sure of the difference in gains Vs 2 port.

That was my question whether or not I can pull it off my Supra and put it on the Z4.

Thanks for the info!

Max setting is 4pm dial correct?

Yes got the same 2021 6 port. Did you compare your stock times/jb+ times in track?

Max is 4 or 5 o'clock. It's the last setting. You can't turn the dial anymore.

I ran my Supra stock with lowering springs 12.2 @117, no launch control, 12.00 flat @ 120 with JB+ at default setting. Haven't tried yet with max. But when I return to the track i'll will have a AA catted DP. Hopefully no wonkey stuff with JB+ and DP.

I'm interested to see if it's compatible with catted dp.

Here in the NE we have had constant rain the past week. I really have not had much time to compare. I also didn't really drive the car much before I added on the JB+ basically after break-in. I can say under conservative driving circumstances ie torrential rain, it is smooth very OEM like. Do not expect "it feels like a new car" experience. I do have the impression it feels a bit more "anxious" to getting going in those lower gears even when not really getting on it. I'll let you know more next week.

It shouldn't have any issues, JB+ is a fancy boost controller, DP just lets exhaust and turbo breathe better. Only thing is that JB+ unlike JB4, doesn't have any WG control. This is the only place I can picture potential issues... issues such as throttle smoothness or opening/closing of WG earlier/later than required. Hopefully not. I'm probably going to jump on the Femto wagon next month for a proper MHD OTS map.
