Also interesting to know how/why your battery died in the first place.
All interior electronics should shut off after 7 minutes regardless of if it's locked or not. Sounds like you have a real electrical gremlin in your car.I have a pretty interesting answer to this problem, I guess when you turn off your car and exit the vehicle the car isnât actually off the accessories are still on. To completely shut off the car youâre supposed to push and hold the volume button on the stereo to turn all the accessories off? Sounds a little weird to me but thatâs what my technician told me. I parked my car in the garage so most of the time I donât hit the lock button on the key fob, I think if you hit the lock button on the key fob and also completely shut the car off. And yes I jumped it from underneath of the hood, positive terminal and negative on the strut tower brace thingâŠ
I thought all the happened when you installed your downpipe. Something about the O2 sensor wire getting twisted and shorting out somewhere?Hey guys, my battery is dead so I jumped it and now when I drive it the dash either flickers or just goes black! Maybe you need to hook up a battery charger and let it get back to full capacity. Sound like the car is trying to function on a low charge battery.^^^^
I was wrong, the O2 sensor was completely dis-connected when I âthoughtâ I saw it arcâŠ.After thinking about it and my window not rolling down a half inch when I popped the hood latch confirmed that it was dead before I even started the downpipeâŠ

Do yourself a favor and pick up one of these battery tenders and always have it connected if youâre going to leave the car parked more than a day.It is, but I was told it take a special battery charger? Itâs at the dealership, theyâre going to charge it and clear the codesâŠ
What's nice about this one is it has an AGM setting for our battery. Might be the "special battery charger" your dealer was talking about.Do yourself a favor and pick up one of these battery tenders and always have it connected if youâre going to leave the car parked more than a day.
