Brake boosting in 2nd allows you to build boost. You can actually get the RPM up to almost 3k and still hold on the foot brake without creeping the car forward.

The stock stall speed can reach that high of an RPM? I'll have to give it a try while keeping it gear in 2nd.

EDIT: I just came back from doing some spirited launches (for the sake of science) and confirmed that on 2nd gear, the stall can reach 2.5k-2.8k without issue. Even with a launch from second gear, the stock tires are fighting for grip.

Nice. If someone has a mildly stock car and a draggy it would be nice to see if there’s any advantage over a 1st gear launch.
