I know these have been mentioned before, but there may have been some information on here that at least to me was not clear. I installed these Sunday and they are not flush to the bottom of the car like the factory plastic ones. I don't have the Verus engineering ones, so I am not sure how much lower they are then the factory pads. Also, on the Bevinsee the locking tab does not have the groves cut into it like the Verus ones do. The groves are easily accomplished with a dremel tool took about 5 minutes and they were easily locked into the frame for faster install. That being said based on the measurement by spyde72 the Bevinsee are 15mm thicker than the Verus ones which means they hang down .6" further. These are now the lowest part of the car, whether or not this will be an issue has yet to be determined but several people on the FB forum said they have them on a lowered suspension GR and have never hit anything with them. Any way on my stock suspension GR they are 4.5 inches off the ground.

I have a set of these on the way. They are so much cheaper than the Verus solution. I don't see how they could be any different from functional stand point.

There is absolutely no difference in functionality. Plus, like you said they are a third of the price. The only difference is they will hang down a little lower. I already used them when I pulled the wheels to paint my calipers black and to put on my mud guards. My low-profile jack fit under them with room to spare so in my book they were money well spent.

Them hanging a bit lower is a bit problematic if you have a lowered car. My car is lowered about 3/4 inch and I went over a speed bump I normally have no problem going over and it landed hard on the aluminum jack pad

I have these. Got them because they're don't force you to use a specific type of jack stand like Verus does

Renegadmelon when they hit did they do any damage to the unibody area where they mount also did you go over it at a 45 degree approach or straight on?

I ended up buying these because of the lower cost and have not had any issues. I am at stock height though and have only had them on for a few weeks. BTW if you plan on buying them, they’re cheaper on eBay $80

I haven't noticed any damage but it was only one hit, I think it would after repeated hits though.

I did approach straight on as I've never had issues in that parking lot before even after I lowered the car. It isn't dragging over the speed bump so if I go over the bump slowly enough it doesn't hit since the car won't get that much compression but I more or less have to crawl over speed bumps.

I did decide to go back to the oem plastic ones and just keep a few extra for replacements as needed.

Just installed this recently as well. Agreed with the pita install. Was debating about the grooves also but was going to return if somehow if I didn’t manage to get it on.

I took a cheap screwdriver bent it to a 45-degree angle cut groves into the back side of the mount and used the screwdriver tip to apply pressure when tightening the allen key bolt.

Having not installed mine yet, can someone explain what you mean by adding grooves? Does the part not fit without modifying it? If so, that is shitty.

No the part fits fine it is just a little harder to install. The small piece that fits up into the unibody is smooth, so if you take a cutting blade on a dremel tool and run it on the flat surface to make two 1/16-inch marks on the surface left and right of the center threaded section. Install the locking tab with the raised center facing up into the car and the groves you cut facing down opposite side of of the raised threaded area, so it is facing towards the body, and the jack block it makes install faster cause it catches the little raised spots in the unibody frame area.

I installed mine. And hit when I went over a bump I always clear going at an angle. I may try again and if it it’s I’m just going to remove and put oems on. That bump was rough.

Did it mark the pad or do any damage to the car?
