**EDIT** this information I posted is incorrect

I didn't buy the 395mm adapters. I bought the 380mm adapters.

I should have test fitted my 18's but i was in a rush getting the car prepped for a track event, that ironically got cancelled.

I'll measure the OEM 19's barrel and some of my 18's and compare.

That photo is a M340i, which shares the same hub as ours. So yea, something isn't adding up with my test fit. lol

Got info on the other supplier?
Understood, the description for these adapters from the seller state they are for the f90 m5 calipers. I was thinking that the adapters differ, and they may have sent you the wrong ones. I now understand that these are the SAME adapters you would use for the f90 m5 395mm and the g80 calipers 380mm rotor. In other words, same mounting position for both calipers. I originally thought that a different adapter could push the caliper further for a larger rotor, hence why the caliper was so close to the barrel.

no official company, just a referral to the person selling them. “Mpower Alex” on facebook

this is looking more to be wheel related now. Fingers crossed it’s that, and maybe continues to be an option for those with aftermarket wheels!

No, they are different adapters. 395 and 380 are different adapters. The 395 have that additional step to push the calipers out more from center to fit the larger 395 rotors. If you look at the 380mm adapters, there is no step.

The actual bit that bolts to the hub is the same on both though.

I actually did this conversion on my supra with brackets that I made from scans of the actual parts. I really like the look and feel. I have extra brackets if anyone is interested.

Very cool, those are 19" wheels, right?
Thanks. Yes they are 19" but they have a pretty noticeable drop in the center which makes me think they will fit a straighter barrel 18".
I can get the overall clearance diameter of you want to see what 18s will fit.

Is your adaptor aluminium in place of steel original?

Plenty of brake brackets made of aluminum. Like pretty much every BBK in existence.

The OEM hub that the OEM calipers bolt onto are aluminum. The calipers themselves are aluminum.

BMW even uses bolt on brackets like this on some OEM cars, made out of aluminum. X3/X5/X6/X7 m editions have them.

It's not entirely about the material but the replication of a steel component dimensionally from aluminium. I was wondering if S2gizzle had replicated an aluminium part from a steel component dimensionally. I've made a ton of aluminium calliper brackets etc over the years as well without an issue. It may be just the image perspective but the S2gizzle brackets look a little weedy to me in aluminium.

Feel free to make some then, you know, if you actually want to contribute instead of just trying to sound smart all the time. Oem is not steel.

The G80 M3 caliper bolts directly to the hub. The F80 2NH had an aluminum adapter bracket with a very similar caliper. The F95/96 had an aluminum adapter bracket with the same caliper as the G80 but larger rotor than the base M3.

Does weedy mean wimpy?
It may very well be the image perspective that is giving you that impression. These went through the battery of FEA analysis before I felt comfortable using them on my car.

Yea weedy/wimpy. Ok, I thought it may be an image perspective thing.
