Where do I get bimmercode? I've been seeing a lot of guys using it to adjust features. Just don't know where to buy one.

Also, I'm supposed to be getting my car tuned with ecutek. Will ecutek take place of bimmer code or are they different tools completely?. ( I know ecutek is for tunning).

Thx,

They're different tools.

Bimmercode is an app. You download it on the app store. It's like $30 bucks or something. To use it you need a compatible Bluetooth dongle. The OBDLink CX is probably the most common one.

Some people said the CX didn’t do everything, but my CX reads it all just fine on my 2021.
I just canceled my order and went with the mx version.

What are you using most for. i.e. what are your favorite hack?

I went with mx+ simply because it seemed to have an overwhelming amount of people using it without any type of issue. In my mind, $30-60 extra is a trivial amount for maximum confidence when mucking around with the electronics in your $55,000 car.

I know some people prefer the wired versions though, simply to take the risk of "connection issues" out of the mix and improve transfer speed. I acquired an ethernet based one a while back when I got my car remote coded for Full Screen CarPlay, but I haven't got an adapter to use it with my phone / tablet yet. Might look into that whenever I get the recall done and need to re-code everything, as it seems like the most stable option.

Oh, it's definitely a trivial amount, but it's not like the CX is a 'lesser' bunch of electronics, it just supports a broader set of protocols.

Everyone just orders on amazon, though - so I assume they're all just returned immediately after they've been used anyway.

Basically everything in the User Guide. Start in sport, auto-engine-off off, disable ASD, fix the display brightness, BMW chimes, disable seatbelt warnings, disable popups.
