That headifold garbage is purely for emissions and production/packaging and has no business in any legit performance/sports car; particularly one purported to be aftermarket-friendly. If the rumors are true then thankfully only the 2020MY will be hindered with that BS.

I get it but until both get tested side by side who knows what the capabilities of each are. I'm thinking the aftermarket support is going to follow the launch car though. Europe will only get the headifold design. The u.s aftermarket is behind on product development with quite a few buying the LE. I dont see them waiting for the manifold design but maybe integrate it later.

I remember the summit point event with the interview with the chief engineer mr. Tada. And how they mentioned a more powerful version being tested with no real gains in performance so they stuck with less hp.

They made 12 of the b58d variants in March so now I'm wondering.
