BOUGHT A SUPRA WITHOUT KEYS

HEY GUYS

I bought a car from copart in tennessee... after that I sent the car to miami with a tow car. For my surprise the car reach with no keys... after that I have been dealing with a pain in the ass... I ordered 1 key from the dealer and I have been waiting for 1 month and half with no news about the order.... if there is any possible way to get my key more faster?

OP, unfortunately, you'll either have to wait it out or replace the entire BCM and everything from another copart car with keys.

Yup, wait and hope you can actually program it when it arrives, or order up another body computer and key set. Shipping companies should be responsible for paying for the replacement cost, parts and labor. They certainly are held liable when delivering new and used cars to the dealerships...

BMW makes this hard as a security feature. As with any security feature it typically makes it harder for people with real use cases as it makes it difficult for real criminals.

In this case, there are auctions where people can pick up second hand cars with "questionable" backgrounds on the cheap. By questionable think repossessed or impounded. They didn't stop by and ask the owner and his wife for the keys when they took the vehicle. So buyer beware includes not actually having a key.

So safety note. When you buy your local drug dealer's Supra, you are likely going to own the car for a few months before you get to drive it

No, they just told me they ordered it and that BMW doesn’t give no ETA to TOYOTA

Well I recall a 18 y/o kid; his dad purchased him a GT-R premium that he used the floor as an ash tray. He got drunk and arrested one night and lost both the keys to the car somehow in the same night. It took over 6 months for the dealership to get the keys for it from Japan. This was way before any pandemic causing supply chain shortages etc. so, probably not that bad of a wait all things considered. Hope you get it sooner than later keep us posted.
