Hey guys needed your help. On an impulse i bought a used EOS manifold that came with ID1050x injectors for $4200 and it just arrived today. I wanted to ask you guys if the condition of the radiator core fins are OK to run for now, to me they look melted in certain places. Seller was running a KLM top mount pushing 900hp with a mesh rock guard. Manifold was dirty AF with black pebbles that passed all the way through the core(EDIT: not sure how those black rocks got wedged into those fins but i think they were from removal during part-out). Thought about sending it back, but since i live locally to mike @ EOS, would he be open to swapping the core out for a charge? Thought about buying another core and getting a local shop to cut the welds, but without knowing how this manifold is assembled together, Id rather have EOS do it.(EDIT: The more i inspect the manifold, starting to notice, that i dont think its possible to remove the core without cutting the entire manifold apart)

Because the brain genius running an unfiltered turbo was smashing rocks into his manifold at nearly half the speed of sound. Air velocity of the turbo outlet is roughly 0.4 mach.

Yea was 90% sure that was the case, but just found it strange that it got stuck there and didn't go completely through.

It looks beat up, but not hosed. Coolant passages are probably fine. But I'd probably try to find a way to get some water through the loop externally of the vehicle first.

Appreciate the feedback brother. I've been running water through the core to see if i can flush anything out, but i doubt it's going to help. Whatever rocks are in there are in there forever. Picking at the fins and they are melted to fuk. Need to send it back to the seller and buy a new one.

I'm not entirely sure. Knock, poor tune, blown motor or maybe a disgruntled shop blow torched the fins to screw him over? 🤷‍♂️ All i know is that the combustion gases were definitely not going in the right direction that day.
