How much was the aero?! I want front and rear lip/diffuser and skirts. Do you think it has enough clearance for a 5" single exit angled exhaust? I have an SP1R for mine

I need that diffuser
Hit up ā€œYoki Leeā€ on Facebook for more info and pricing!

I honestly donā€™t remember. Hit up ā€œYoki Leeā€ on Facebook and he can get your more info and pricing on all the aero. In terms of the opening, it should but the inside part of the exhaust cut out will rub on the exhaust. Even on mine being a 3.5ā€, I put a small piece of foam between the exhaust and diffuser so it didnā€™t touch the carbon itself. But yeah, it sounds great! Loud! Lol.

I just realized I havenā€™t updated this build thread in a long time. Iā€™ve been busy with life along with getting some of the other projects going.

Since last time, Iā€™ve changed a few things but nothing crazy. Added CF roof spoiler and swapped out the 315/30/18 for 295/40/18. The larger sidewall helped so much with traction and I think it looks 10x better in regards to fitment.

For the most part, Iā€™m content with where the car is now. I ended up parting away with the Pure850 and LPFP kit since I really like how the car performs right now. The company I bought all the aero from sent another style wing as well (Voltex style) but Iā€™ve yet to put it on. Not even sure if I want to anymore, but weā€™ll see.

I have also been focusing on my other projects. Finally received the rest of the parts I needed to get my turbo K Lotus back on the road in the new few weeks. The Quaife Sequential transmission is all together and installed now, and finishing up the ECU switch to Fueltech. Then itā€™s time for tuning!

Also, I picked up a manual E90 M3 a few months ago for another daily and slowly have been adding things to that as well. Kept it to pretty much some aero, wheels, and a good suspension set up. When I say this is one of the best driverā€™s car out there especially for a sedan, I mean it. Provides so much feedback, is a joy to drive, and the sound of the S65 is out of this world.

Obviously those werenā€™t Supra related, but just sharing as to why I havenā€™t really touched the Supra all that much lately. Just been enjoying it and taking it to meet ups and shows. Weā€™ll see whatā€™s next for it though!

Still waiting to hear back about the issue with the wing. Theyā€™re seeing if they can send a replacement top portion that isnā€™t mounted crooked, opting for another wing as long as I cover shipping, or just a refund in general.

In the mean time, I put the rear diffuser on. At first I was hesitant on having such large exhaust cut outs for having a single exit set up but after installing it, I donā€™t mind it all that much. Fitment was 7/10, mostly because of the work to get it mounted. No holes were drilled and the holes that were drilled for the reflectors were too big. But otherwise, it mounted flush and no huge gaps or problems sagging or anything.

Then cleaned the car up some and met up with some friends for some Hotpot & Korean BBQ in Jacksonville followed by a Saturday night meet. Pretty decent turn out.

Also, canā€™t resist taking a gas station shot when it has that really good lighting LOL. Shows off all the nice added carbon!

How was the install on the rear diffuser? Difficult? Looks insane!

Will always have a sweet spot for s2000ā€™s! And nice, the SP1R is great looking exhaust!

Really nice build and look!
Thank you!

Not terrible! Getting the stock one is super simple. Then putting the new one on, just needed to drill the mounting holes and use hardware. Nothing crazy! Suppose to dremel out the holes for the parking sensors too but I got lazy lol.

Another update!

Purchased the Eventuri headlight duct and OLM CF upper bumper trim. Both came in 2-3 days, talk about fast shipping! Installed them as soon as they came in.

OLM trims were super simple. Clean the area and apply (3M). Headlight duct wasnā€™t too bad, little tricky but straightforward. Hardest part was just having to pull back the inner fender liner to access the two rear bolts on the headlight.

So. Many. Damn. Bolts.

F7132AEC-3ECE-48AF-923D-7131EED19133.jpeg

Didnā€™t have to fully remove the bumper either which was nice. Then I picked up a cheap LED fog light from Oreillyā€™s to mount inside. Wasnā€™t too worried about how much light it emitted (although itā€™s fairly bright), just more so that there was a light visible so cops wouldnā€™t give me any hassles at night. Wired it up to an on/off switch for now until Iā€™m able to find the schematic to figure out the pin outs on the factory headlight plug.

Overall, IATā€™s seem to be about 5-10Ā° over ambient when they used to be 20Ā°+. Iā€™d said itā€™s pretty functional even without having a big top mount. Plus, it looks cool!

I just got through your build thread and was excited to see you were in Colorado until I realized you're in Georgia now haha. Beautiful car! And you had the OEM+ look perfected for awhile before some of the other mods.

I do miss Colorado! I really enjoyed the few years I was there. And thanks! I try to keep it simple for the most part.

Damn, I just realized I havenā€™t updated this build thread in so long. Time for some updates! Over the last 6 months, Iā€™ve added quite of bit of more aesthetics.

This all started with getting a different style wing since the last one had some fitment issues I didnā€™t want to bother with. Ended up going with the Voltex 12.5 style. Fitment was straight forward although I want to change out the hardware to titanium since the hardware I current have doesnā€™t look very nice in opinion.

Next, I wanted to change up the engine bay again since the silver engine cover and braces started to seem out of place to me the more I looked at it. I repainted it and matched it to the car along with swapping out the OEM strut braces for RK Titaniumā€™s 4 point brace, adding RK Titaniumā€™s ECU plate with custom laser engraving on top of the AMS CF ECU cover, and changed the blue Verus oil cap for the VTT Oil Cap Breather (mainly because I didnā€™t want the blue cap with the blue engine cover and why not benefit from a little less crankcase pressure at the same time). Only other things I plan on changing in the engine bay will be full frame turbo upgrade and intake manifold at some point but thatā€™ll be a little while.

IMG_9913.jpeg

After being overall content with the engine bay, I decided to take a break from modifying for a little to enjoy the car, went to some shows and meetsā€¦ had some fun times with great people.

Then being slightly obsessed with carbon fiber (to an extent)ā€¦ I found an insanely great deal on a Seibon TV style hood already paint matched with the carbon exposed on the vents, EVS style fenders which were also already paint matched and PPFā€™d, and Rexspeed CF full replacement TRD style door garnishes. I havenā€™t decided if I want to paint match the door garnishes yet but so far I like the contrast next to the already carbon fiber sideskirts. The sounds you hear with the hood vented itā€™s so good. I can only imagine with a big turbo set up.

Overall, I think Iā€™m pretty satisfied with the exterior of the car for now. Going to start messing with the interior more now as that hasnā€™t been touched since I added some CF bits here and there earlier last year.

Aside from modifications, the car has been solid and super reliable. Itā€™s been making 500+whp/600+wtq on full E85 for over 65k miles now and not one hiccup. Iā€™ve driven it cross country a few times, drive it rain or shine, take it on spirited drives all the time, etc. Other than normal maintenance, it has been nothing short of an amazing car to own.

Also, I will sayā€¦ Jeff Payn has the car a little spicy too. Photo for your viewing pleasure šŸ˜Ž

Just posting to post. Apparently everyone I work with that has a blue car decided to park in the same area of the parking so had to take a picture LOL.
