The test drive thing doesn’t surprise me. With these high demand new cars, you never are allowed to drive them. I would be pissed if I found out my new car had miles put on it buy some tire kicking idiot.

I figure that this has been something fun to watch for the last couple of months at the very least

I need to feel the car before I buy it, I'm either going to love the thing or love my X more & if they don't let me drive the thing then I just default to the X being more fun to drive. I doubt the dealer will really care either way, I'm sure they can sell the car to someone else

All this is assuming that my dealer(s) even get allocated enough to sell one after they sell what they have to staff!

Go test drive the z4. If you 80% like that then you'll probably love the supra.

He has had word from the rep that allocations will be released shortly to the dealers.

Yea my dealer said “we are all hoping the for good news on your blue request “
I can’t see Toyota sending cars that a particular dealer can’t sell ASAP ? Plus I put down a deposit in February so I hope that pulls things my way.

As the dealer is getting their information on allocation only.

“Congratulations we have secured a downshift blue for you and expect to have it here for the 22”
So I don’t have a VIN yet.

Weird how they know the car they’re getting is blue without having a vin for it.
