New hood didn’t come with hardware and really, I didn’t think it would/should. That said, do these bolts somehow remove? Without them I have nothing to attach the hood latches to the new hood. Same goes for the dampeners too.

Thanks in advance

Attached are pictures of the latch mounting location and one of the dampeners location. The holes have metal threads inside

Hopefully it fits decent with the way the way those holes appear. Gonna need to go to the hardware store and get some M6x1.0 or maybe M8x1.25 bolts with some washers by the looks of it to mount it (best to measure it yourself). Did they not provide hardware?

I think I’ve seen people have issues with that hood breaking at the mounting points. That must be a very cheap hood.

You should definitely get hood pins for your safety.

Most carbon fiber hoods with the exception of Adro and Varis appear to be manufactured to the same specs.

I've encountered 3 from different vendors ranging between $1400 and $2800 that only come with the pre-drilled holes, no hardware, for bolting the OEM latches and hinges to.

I'm sure the hoods sold by Varis and Adro come with hardware and less fitment issues as well for the $5k to $6k they're commanding.

Adding Seibon to the list of hoods that fits excellently, comes with all appropriate parts, and is affordable (by CF hood standards).

What's amusing here is that CF components were originally created as an evolution of GRP products in racing as cheapish light weight throw away panels. The sort after and exotic panels were aluminium but they were too expensive to replace and mostly hand made/ hand beaten by real craftsmen. The Australian made and one of the best Cobra replicas in the world is the Absolute pace full aluminium monocoque Cobra that comes standard with a carbon fibre body or for something like and additional $40,000au you can have the optional bespoke more desirable aluminium body instead. https://www.absolutepace.com.au/
We have a sport car that comes with the highly desirable and beautiful aluminium body panels and hood and people want to downgrade it at great cost the a CF piece which often fits poorly, warps with the heat and is subject to UV deterioration and other issues that come with that material. Give people something special as std equipment and they want to downgrade it, Amazing.
